-He can't play defence.
-A.Kost can remplace him on the point.
-Is a third or fourth line foward.
-Has his season year.
-we have the dept to remplace him.
He's been terrible in the post-season, the exact type of soft player who not only can't step it up, but seems overwhelmed by everyone around him. Now, I'm not going to say Gorges has been good either, he hasn't, but Streit has been a downright liability.
That said, he still has time to make up for his screw ups. I'm sure there's no one more aware of how's been playing than himself. I'm hoping he comes out strong and goes back to making smart passes on the PP. Or at the very least, hit the net.
People wanting to give Streit 3 million is a joke. He should be back in swiss league. What a surprise, the soft euro guy who totally padded his point total all season between Markov and Kovalev completely disappears during playoffs when people start banging. He cant adapt to real hockey.
hmmm, not sure. It sound odd right now that we shouldn't resign streit, who is 3rd leading in points in our team, when we seem to be having ''trouble'' scoring in these playoffs.
I wouldn't made a thread for only a bad game. I see this regulary and he can become another ''Souray''.
He's playing in his 5th NHL playoff game of his life, in a series which we are leading 2-1,
if you're going to be negative and critical about the 3rd highest scorer on the best team in the conference, can you wait until that set team at least goes out of the playoffs ?
Habs score on PP inspite of Streit's best efforts to kill it for the Bruins, he gets stripped, then gives up a 2 on 1, then another chance when he gets stripped in own zone. Get him off PP!!!

I agree we should wait and see for Streit, but last season many people thought Souray & Ryder were two great players.. only judging the offensive stats...in the end, these players are not bad but they're not quite "great"
Damn guys, I think y'all are forgetting he's a PLAYOFF ROOKIE. You guys are judging the player's future in the franchise by how fast he steps up during key games in a new environment? Pretty BS if you ask me. That's like saying let's let Plekanec go since he's stinking up just as bad.
ok first you cant judge a guy by playoffs only. He was solid all year. This is by far the toughest series in the Eastern Conference. Yes we are being exposed physically, if we make it past this round his skill will come in handy. The other team that could perhaps play that style against us would be NYR. I say sign him at the right price no need to overpay.
