What do you think?
Toronto's 1st round pick belongs to the Rangers, as a result of the Leetch trade.

LA needs a goalie I believe more than a center...

Ducks would take Ladd ahead of Wolski in that scenario

Because Ladd is a better player than Wolski? Maybe that's it?

I'll be soooo pissed off if the Kings pass on Picard, Montoya or Schwarz to take Stafford.

Depends what the Ducks are looking for. A grinder (Ladd) or a sniper (Wolski).

Add the fact that Ladd is teammate of Getzlaf and that we have enough soft players.

McGrath won't go in the first round, Schwarz is too low, and no way does Lepisto go ahead of Vabalik.

Don't think you'd find too many scouts that would sum Ladd up as a "grinder"...

Perhaps it's unfounded but if they did I would eat my Ducks hat.

I also agree. And I'd be surprised to see Radulov go before Olesz; if the Jackets want him I can't imagine the rangers not trading up to try and nab Olesz as long as Columbus can still get their man at #6.

They have so much of them already, and now that Bob Gainey's the GM, I'm not sure he'll agree to such a pick, especially considering he just traded away one of those smallish speedsters (Balej) to get a bit more size and strength in Kovalev. Gainey has repeatedly stated he felt the team was too small.
Savard is extremely high on Fransson, and wanted to pick him last year. And with Hainsey not showing the promesses he once was, I could see them drafting an other puck-moving Dman. So if all the big gritty forwards like Chipchura, Ladd, Stafford and Picard are gone, I see Montreal picking him.
