Can't really argue with those three. I think Dion is going to win it. You had to figure Markov was in the top 5. Would have been nice to see him get the recognition at the awards show.

You think Dion is going to win? Have you seen Lidstrom's stats or watched him play? Dion wishes he was even close to being that good.

Those are the 3 I expected with Lidstrom winning easily.

I really want to see Phaneuf take it home, just because I love him as a player. Chara I dislike for obvious reasons. Lidstrom I have alot of respect for, but I am just sick of seeing him every year with the Norris in his hands.

I know i'm going to sound like Don Cherry, but let's see a good ol Canadian boy bring it home.

chara struggled against us but was a force against all other teams.
I hate the giant ape but he is very well deserving of the nomination.

A bit sad to see Markov left out but then again, we never get enough recognition around the league... Markov had a great season and I really hoped he would be nominated but s@#t happens...

I think the Lidstrom injury evens out the chances.

He did a good job on Kovalev until game 7. And he had a torn labrum the entire time too.

I was in the pro-redden camp during the chara-redden debate. I agree that redden sucked big time this year..but i always thought chara being over rated..although his stats are on his side....

i wouldnt say no to him but not at that price tag...but hey its not my money lol

like it matters who's nominated anyways.

Might as well just give Ovechkin, Lidstrom and Brodeur their awards now and skip that cheesy CBC/NHL awards show. I'm almost embarrased to be canadian watching that crap.

He missed what, 6 games? Big deal, even if it will be taken into consideration, it still speaks for Lidström, he got more points in less games played.

Really? Because Lidstrom only missed 6 games yet still had 10 more points than Dion and was a +40 instead of a +12. I don't think it's even close.

Yeah I think it's more that we pretty much only saw Chara's worst 8 games of the season.

What does Brodeur get an award for? Nabokov had more wins and better stats than Marty had this year so he should win the Vezina.

Unless they are giving Brodeur an award for being the biggest baby for not shaking Avery's hand or and award for the league putting in a rule because of Marty then I don't know why he would be getting an award.

But Lidstrom definitely should win the Norris....Chara didn't do enough to deserve it and I think Lidstrom had a better season than Phaneuf...IMO....so he should win.

Lidstrom. Though I would of picked Gonchar over Chara.
