Anyone knows if he is going to be changing his number next year? Need to figure out what name to get on that shirt!

And yes, Sergei is pretty much my favourite skater out there right now. He still makes many rookie mistakes so you just see the potential with his crazy vision when he gets better decision making on when to shoot/pass etc.

Ignoring that he's a 20yr old rook....I think he's looked downright awful most shifts. Lots of errant passes, stupid penalties and getting owned physically.

JMHO.
Hmmmm. Are you sure we are talking about the same guy?

"Downright awful most shifts" with 3G 3A and plus 4?? And a respectable 10 hits good for 9th on the team does not sound like "owned" either.

I think you are right

24 was his Jr number

With the Knights they actually did a "tonite on 24" scoreboard video of his highlites mimicking the TV show. Kind of cool

Why would he change his number? Couldn't he have just taken 24 this year?

I can't recall what the reason was. Maybe there is no good reason

Sergei Kostitsyn is going to be such a steal at $550,000 for the next two seasons. He does have $200,000 bonuses, who knows what the terms are though.

I'd go as far as to say that if some guys (not all) take too few penalties I would question their involvement in the game. He should be a bit more selective, but usually they are crimes of passion not laziness

Don't forget that 4 of those minutes are for offsetting diving penalities. He really only has 8 minutes of penalities, and a couple of them were pretty questionable.

I agree. The interference call while getting high-sticked last night was odd. Didn't he also get a peculiar high sticking call against him last night behind the net? On that play I thought the guy he checked put his arm out and spun him around followed by a stick clipping his shoulder

I thought a lot more serious stuff was let go both ways. But thats the way it goes sometimes

TOTALLY AGREE! And now that Carbo made the **** line happen, I expect the **** Brothers to dominate this series. We'll see which **** brings more offense between our **** and Danielle's!

While I agree they only really played well (kosty bros) during game 1 and 7, the reason for game 7 is cause they were FOR ONCE on the same line. If this is kept the same way for next series, they will be our two best offensive guys, I'm certain of it. These guys only needed a shot together for a game or two before they'd be the next sedins except with eventual greater offensive upsides.

wooooooooot go habs go, go sergei go, go andrei go!

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot
