Makes sense.

Price'll just have to win the Conn Smythe.

Im not surprised, the 3 finalists are very deserving.

Kane wins it imo.

Oh well, it's not like he needs it to prove anything...just ask Sidney Crosby, plus he already has a Calder...of a different type.

No problem with that at all. All 3 of those guys had a great season. Carey did too, but simply didn't play enough to push out one of those 3.

He wasn't even our number 1 goalie for most of the season, how would you even expect him to be nominated ?

He could have had been nominated if he had played more games this year, but the nominees are awesome, much better year for rookies than the year that Raycroft won it.

Umm Since the entire NHL media believe that Toews can't be Kane, because of time missed, then Enstrom should be in his place, as Enstrom > Kane.
Backstrom > Kane

In another dismal season for Atlanta, their brightside was the play of Tobias Enstrom. He put up points, played in every situations, was a shutdown guy too, if I'm not mistaken and doesn't even get a nomination? Please...

Or when Jackman won it. What a terrible year.

No problem at all. Nothing much to discuss. An excellent crop of rookies.

Being a goaltender that led your team to a first place finish in the East in a hockey city like Montreal (even for just over 40 games) is a bigger feat than putting up 60-70 points on a non-playoff team or piling up lots of points simply by giving the puck to Ovechkin.

Voters just look at the stats and not the impact the rookie had on their team and in the league.

All great choices. And Price is the only one who's still in the playoffs, I'd rather have that.

Unfortunatley It came down to lack of games played, 10more for Carey and it would have been Kane and Price #1 and #2.

He'll only be able to use the Conn Smythe, Vezina, Hart and Stanley Cup trophies

Well it was pretty inevitable, only spent half the season as number 1.

Kane should win it.

If Price had played 10-20 more games, I think he would've ran away with it. As the season went though, I'm not upset about this year's nominees. What a great bunch of rookies.

Any body remember the last time a team had 2/3 of the ROY nomminations the same year. Pretty impressive.

-5 on the Thrashers is excellent. Enstrom only really came into his own about a third of the way through the season though. If he has performed at the same level all year, he would have merited consideration.

Plus, Toews and Kane are just sexier names for the NHL.
