No Ovechkin tearing around the Hab goal for the first round! Whohooo
Can you imagine how nervewracking it would've been to have that ANIMAL circling on the ice in late-game powerplays in a tight series?
Let another team deal with him in round 1
The stars are lining up as in 86 and 93
This puts us on a collision course with the Rangers, which I don't want to see. I'd rather play anyone else.

You can always find a reason not to want to face a team
I don't want to face the:
Rangers because they look like they're built for the playoffs and have chararcter guys
Penguins because Crosby, Malkin and Hossa are explosive
Devils because Brodeur can steal a series himself
Capitals because Ovechkin can dominate and we don't want to face Huet
etc etc.
Gotta be positive...we beat all these teams this year...we can do it again

Bunch of freakin' babies on this board.
Bring em on!!! 2 at once, even.
I know the Habs haven't been in the playoffs in a few years, but here's a list of things you should probably fear:
-potent offense from more than 1 line
-world class goaltending
-a shutdown defenceman
Thus, no need to piss your pants at the thought of Washington. Respect them, sure. Fear them? Nah.

I agree, add top special teams that are extremely important in the playoffs. Teams have to play disciplined against us or they will get burned. Fear the Habs

Fixed.
I truely don't understand the fear of Washington on this board.
"Oh noez, we have to face Cristoballz Huette and Alex the Gr8"
Why don't you go cry about it or something?

Let's have a little more quiet confidence than this...although I love the way you are thinking...

We'll likely meet Ottawa instead. That's better? Not by much.

I wish we'd missed the playoffs. Then we wouldn't have to face a tough team

It's a bad news. To be the best, you most beat the best. Hopefully, we will beat them on 2nd or 3rd round!

I can't believe people were more scared of the Caps than the Sens. That's just ridiculous.

agreed with kositsyn in the bag, this is a sure display of diffidence and weakmindedness. Hopefully the habs don't see it the way some of you do. We can take'em all, all at once. We're warriors and I have faith in this team.

Then again, the media & fans would be a much tougher "team" to face, as attested by the last off-season.

Give us the Sens!!!!
I want us to play the Sens. Here's why:
- No Boston (They're freaking due!!!)
- No Philly and the whole did Briere make a mistake balogna.
- No Ovy to worry about
and the biggest reason: If we beat Ottawa (we should in 6) then we can beat anyone who is left in the East to go to the SCF!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how we wanted Bruins and Flyers second. Pretty good draw if you ask me.

I dont believe thats the case.
I think its just our guys need to show up.
They showed up for 2 games and blew the Bruins right out of town in both of them.
If they show up to play against the Flyers, our speed will give us PP after PP after PP. Their defence cant move.
