Thank God Gainey doesn't rely on Michel Beaudry's advice for player person-***-nel. Or for anything else for that matter.

What a steal this guy turned out to be.
I think that Nonstopoulos is damn right. He just gets in there, gives it his all, tries to get the job done without quitting and it's been paying off nicely these playoffs so far.

Can't believe the scouting report said he was lucky to be n NHL. He had exceeded all expectations.

So yeah, il est vraiment cave le gars.

Gainey's reasoning for signing Kostopoulos was because as games became more important, his play level rised. Guess he and our scouting staff got that damn right.

Unstopopoulos

Kostopouclutch

Nonstoppoulos

Clutchopoulos

All in all, I liked his signing from the start. We needed a gritty 3th/4th-liner, and now he's proven out to be a great playoff performer also! Awesome!

He wasn't given a lot of credit because the Penguins let him walk in the middle of their dark years. Then the Kings signed him and everyone was all like "what the hell, he wasn't good enough to play for the horrible Penguins why do we need him" and it wasn't until he left that everyone found out that they really did need him.

PJ Stock was saying that TK's a legendary teammate. Guys that have played with in other cities, AHL and NHL, have nothing but good to say about him. In a dressing room that got fractious as the year wore on in 06-07, I think that was a factor in signing him.

Anyone see his interview in French, I give him all the credit in the world, but as someone who also gets over matched in his 2nd language, I laughed a bit at how he started every reply in French and trailed off into English as the sentence wore on. He was so excited, I'm not sure he knew.

I was wrong about Kostopoulos

I hate to say it but I was so wrong about this guy. He just keeps proving me wrong. He was brought in to be our enforcer but he has turned into so much more. He still can't fight but that doesn't matter. The Begin-Smoke-Kosto line has been dynamite for us and is basically a 2nd 3rd line for us. Not only that but Kosto has been a major reason as to why the line has had so much success. He is apparently extremely appreciated in the dressing room. I also keep hearing all the good things he does for the community, so he is a positive on and off the ice.

Hears to more playoff success for Kostopoulos.

The guy is a warrior. Does whatever he can to help the team, and works his butt off.

I was wrong as well. I stand by the fact that he was playing poor hockey at the start of the season, but he was being used in the wrong roles. On scoring lines... even on the powerplay lol...

He has stepped it up when it matters the most and has been one of our best forwards in the post-season.

Here's to Tom! Glad he made me eat my words!

Not even close...

He was very much appreciated, there wasn't room for him, and he was replaced by the better Talbot.
