OT : Shaking hands

Does anybody remember or had heard about a fight starting when the two teams are shaking hands at the end of a series? Or a shaking hands that never happenend because a team had refused to do it?

Not that I can recall but didn't huet skate off the ice when he lost in OT?

Also, is it me or did Huet **** up bigtime on that goal? He looks to the left like he's looking at a hot girl in the audience, waits waits waits then looks back. If I'm a goalie, I'd be looking around for the puck everywhere, not looking in 1 place. It looked like Huet was paid off practically or something. Regardless I seem to remember Huet skating off the ice after without hand shaking.

Chris Chelios at some point

Brodeur refused to shake Avery's hand in the first round

LOts of individual players abstain, Billy Smith and Gerry Cheevers were 2, I've heard of kids fighting during handshakes, but that's about it.

thanks guys. I knew that some mindividuals refused to shake hands, but I was wondering if whole teams may have done the same thing. Or fight.

No.

They release lists of the most disgraceful moments in hockey every once in awhile. If this had ever happened, it would be right up there with the Canada/Russia junior melee.

It would be the biggest slap in the face to one of the best traditions in the game.

The Islanders' Billy Smith never shook hands after a playoff series. Totally in character for him.
