From a Flyers fan...

Don't sweat tonight's game. I think our teams are oddly in similar situations tonight. Our fans as well. We gave up a 2 goal lead to MON last night while you gave up a big lead as well tonight. Both of our teams lost. But behind all the bickering and ref blaming, which both of our fan bases seem to be doing right now, I think there is something that people aren't realising...

You can win this series. Tonight you showed that Fleury will at times falter. You exposed their defense. You showed that you can definitely score on them going up and down the ice. A lot of our fans had bad feelings going into the series with MON because of how we played them all year and because of how "fast" we knew they would be against our guys. We played them last night and while you could argue we should have won, we didn't. But after calming down a bit a lot of us realised that we were probably overworried about facing them. I was more worried with Backstrom, Ovechkin, and Semin coming down the ice in the first series than I was watching any of their players with the puck last night.

Both of our teams can win this round guys. I know after a loss we all have to steam the **** up but sit back and realise you were in complete control with a 3-0 lead at one point. That means something. And I'm sure every single player will know that and hear that from the coach going into game 2.

If you're wondering why a Flyers fan is coming in here and saying this well, it's simple. I'm a fan of hockey. How ****ing EPIC would a ECF's between Philly and NY be?! Wow.

Knuckle the **** up and just win boys! I'm out.

I agree with everything you say, only a matter of time before MTL and PIT get cocky

Forget about them getting cocky. I'm saying you guys can beat them cocky or not. It's not like you're facing an unstoppable Brodeur in net...oh wait.

Great post. And tonight I officially feel the Flyers' fans pain..especially when it comes to the Penguins.

We'll be alright...it's only one game and as much as we rip Brodeur, Fleury isn't even in the same class as him. The Pens are much more talented than the Devils offensively, but if Henrik can manage to give up less than 5 goals again, we should be alright.

Thanks for taking the time to come over and post that.

You guys got royally screwed in the same fashion the other night. We definitely can beat Pittsburgh, and you guys definitely can beat Montreal.

Wouldn't mind facing you guys next round.. having home ice

The arena was so dead that I actually found myself laughing when the Rangers were up 2-0. Good show, all of it except the ending.

Now pick yourself up off the ground, and get Lundqvist into the Conference Finals.

Thanks for the thoughts marzab. I'm definitely rooting for the Flyers against the Habs. And was rooting for the Flyers against the Caps as well.

Hopefully we can take out those arrogant Habs and Pens for good, and setup quite possibly the most epic matchup ever.

While I have no love for the Flyers, alot of their fans are very knowledgeable about hockey and I am pulling for them against the Habs. They were the better team for most of game 1. Hopefully both road teams in the East win this weekend.

And hey, any fanbase that hates Captain Diver is ok with me

Damn, that's a scary thought, lol

But it would be amazing to see. After all the stuff earlier in the year with the Flyers being fined by the league, combined with the Rangers suing the league earlier this season (they wanted the right to maintain their own website) and the fact that we would need to knock Goldenboy out to get there...Bettman would probably be inconsolable.
