And while the same can't be said against MON when facing PHL...

When I look at the 2 clubs facing eachother, the history and awe that NY holds over PIT reminds me of this...

The day 2 division rivals combine forces.. Who would of thought New York and Philly..

But in all honesty I can see why the two clubs can relate to similar situations that they are in. I must give props that after a heartbreaker tonight, their fans showing some class to the also heartbroken Flyers fans after they outplayed the Habs. Great job on both parts I must say. That Toronto war room is an evil, evil place. I really don't see Henrik allowing another 5 goals. Flyers outplayed Montreal, they really brought it to them. Game 2 for both sides should be interesting. As much as it pains me to say , good luck to both of you the rest of the way. The whole underdog thing always gets me excited despite the team. Even if 3 teams of our division are still in it. Atlantic is beast.

But it would be amazing to see. After all the stuff earlier in the year with the Flyers being fined by the league, combined with the Rangers suing the league earlier this season (they wanted the right to maintain their own website) and the fact that we would need to knock Goldenboy out to get there...Bettman would probably be inconsolable.
Good on the Rangers. These new websites look terrible. The Flyers' website wasn't the best in the first place, but at least it was theirs. It wasn't some template that the NHL threw together for everyone to use.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of the NHL template at all.

Are you guys drunk? Ummm....this is the Flyers here....you think they care about anything with the "NY" in front of it. Sorry, there will be no rooting for the Flyers. I would root for a roster full of Tom Poti's over the Flyers.

Sorry...I may be pissed right now, and these Flyers posters may have come in good measure...but I don't abandon my morals.

You're wrong. At least from this fans perspective. I lived in Brooklyn for 2 years prior to moving down here to FL in 06'. Before that I was in Philly, born and raised. Obviously my allegiance is with the Flyers but when I lived in NY I made a very good friend, almost like an older brother to me who schooled me on the ways of the Rangers. I went to my first game in MSG as well. After coming down here and seeing how the fans are for FLA and the games here, it gave me a new appreciation for the teams we have up north. Hell, they have cheerleaders here at Panthers games...what the **** is that?!

I just got done talking to my friend up in NY and told him to hop on and check out this thread. Told him I couldnt wait to head up there for a week if we face eachother in the ECF's so we can take road trips up and down 95 to go to both the Flyers and Rangers games.

I even said I wanted to cut a Rangers jersey and a Flyers jersey down the middle and put them together...so I dont get a beer shower in MSG.

But in any case this post took on a path of its own. My original post was just saying that you showed you can beat PIT tonight. So ****ing beat them. Period.

Oh, and I gained a new respect for the Rangers the first time I saw them skate out to center ice and raise their sticks to the fans at the end of their games. That's respect man. Awesome.

Two? It looks like with you joining along we have three. Who would've thunk it?

FYI-I live in Bergen County. I hate the Rangers, I truly do (I have morals myself ) but I hate the Devils and Penguins FAR more. Plus, I think you guys have a good, fun team on your hands. Besides, if all goes well, I'll be back to totally hating you and everything you stand for in two weeks. Until then, good luck.

Go Rangers! I hate the Penguins so much that saying that doesn't even make me ill. Seriously, GO Rangers. Win, I beg of you.

And this is probably the greatest thing ever created on the internet...

There are a lot more. If you go to our board there is a photoshopped thread where we get our avatars made by the wonderwoman, Jules. Some more hilarious stuff there.

Flyers Suck.

Sorry, I had to do it. I will be damned if there were will ever be a "Good Luck Rags" thread over there on the Philly boards.

Go Habs!
