I think it's time Crabo smartens up and puts Lats in instead of Dandenault. I'm sure Lapierre would play better with Lats, they got along very well during the year.
We need to get the 4th line going...Dandy & Streit out and Lats and Ryder/Grabs in. THis is a different style series than the Boston series. There is more open ice and speed in this series so we need to add offfence to this line.. possibly move Streit back to D for Brisebois for a game and also O'Bryne would do well in this style of game, Philly has some qquick forwards
I'd like to see a couple changes...Dandy and Brisebois out, Lats and O'byrne in. Putting an AHLer in the lineup un less you get 2-3 injuries is an insult to the guys that put the Habs 1st in the east.
Dandenault is the closest one to get pressbox assignment. Latendresse should take his spot.
As for Ryder, I dunno if we will ever see him back in the Habs line up. He's no better than gone.
Brisebois is OK for the moment. O'Byrne will have his chances later on.
Carbonneau will likely replace injured players instead of making moves to mix his line up. Chemistry is the word. And carbonneau got lots of respect for his veteran players. It worked quite well with Smolinski.
Ryder back for Dandy ---------> Streit-Lapierre-Ryder (remember this line in the historic comeback vs the rangers)
the other lines
Higgins-Koivu-Kovalev
(when kovy plays with saku, he's now the shooter, the sniper that we know insted when he played with pleks and kosti, he was the passer and we need kovy goals!)
S.Kost-Pleks-A.Kost
(while the best defensemans play against saku's line, this line has more place and produice more offensively)
Markov-Komi
Hammer-O'Byrne (although i could live with brisebois, sigh)
Bouillon-Gorges.
Uh?You bench Lapierre? Seriously this guy have been very good since the start of the playoffs. Sure he doesn't bring much offense but he's very annoying for the opponent, keep going in the corner, always finishing his body checks, always skating...
Seriously the problem of the 4th line is not Lapierre!..
"Carbonneau said there might be some changes for tonight's game, but he's keeping a lid on them. He wasn't happy with the fourth line in Game 1, which means he might replace Mathieu Dandenault or Maxim Lapierre. The third member, Mark Streit, is needed on the power play.
i'd love to see ryder, if by any chance we can get this going, we would be unstoppable. ryder is a guy you dont notice all game, and then he scores 2 goals. i would take that over dandy any day
I dont mind Brisebois, but i'd give him a rest here and there. Let him play 2 out of every 3 games and use the 3rd one to play Latendresse and/or Obyrne here and there.
Ryder at this point is done. I dont mind him playing, but i'm not expecting him to regain his touch either. Still, he's a valuable piece to have at your disposal in case of injuries.
Dandenault could also sit here and there to remind him he needs to be physical to stay in the lineup.
