The Maple Leafs, Canadiens and Red Wings are believed to be the frontrunners at this stage, but the situation is a fluid one and that could change after all the proposals are received by the Brunnstrom camp.

Not even good enough for the Swedish National team? Already 23 years old?

This guy better be amazing. The hype is insane.

We're the front runners? So it means we're not going to have him 'cause we were front runners for Shanahan, Rafalski, Smyth, Brière....

Montreal is a front runner?

Ok, well that means we dont get him.

Every single time we are the front runner we dont get whoever it may be so dont get your hopes up.

Is it safe to assume that if he doesn't sign with us he'll get booed everytime he plays at the Bell Center?

Maybe the kid cares more about playing on a winner then being guaranteed his top 6 ice time. If we get him over the Leafs/Nucks that would tell me a lot about his character, and if he's still deciding maybe how many games we keep winning could be a factor.

This is all speculation.

He had 37 points in 54 games in the Elitsieren this year. Is that overly exceptional for that league?

"When he was 17 he decided to work on hockey," Elander explained. "At our camps when he was with hungry and skilled players, he wanted to dance with them."

Says he has soft hands also....hmmmm

No, I'm sorry that'd be beyond idiotic of him and his agent. He's going to go to the place with the best conditions which would allow him to make a name and a large salary for himself, not which team is closest to winning a championship he doesn't care about.

Besides, parity is so strong in the NHL, both sens and ducks are out and 30th place Philly is playing against us in the 2nd round.

The only players who consider "winning " as a signing attraction are UFA players who have already made millions and that can afford to turn down money.

I know I'm the one who suggested it because I didn't want to start a new thread to boast my 5000.

Like it was an advantage in the Forsberg and Sundin sweepstakes.

Puhlease, do you think agents allow players to create these kind of limits for themselves?

His agent deserve a gold medal for driving the prices up with all that press.

Whatever team he signs for, past experience has taught us most Europeans don't just drop in and make an impact in the NHL. Takes a while to adjust to the smaller ice, hard hitting game, no guarantee he will, just look at our friend lahti, lotsa other examples of high potential euros coming and going. Better for him if he ends up on a team with lower expectations, cuz odds are he'd have a rough ride before ending up in the AHL here.

Send a message via MSN to Rise from the Ashes
He has great speed, vision and skill from what I have seen. Don't forget he has been playing in a men's league. Also Trevor Timmins has stated that he is a high end prospect. So far Trevor has not been wrong.

Hope we get him.
