Question: did I hear Kevin Pollock's name mentioned as a player? The Kevin Pollock who's currently a ref?

Hmm... I hockeydb'd it and I can't find him as a player or on the Kings during that year, but he also only started reffing in '97...

Is it me or the forum is kinda quiet considering they're 10 min away from the cup? I know there's a few thousand more seats, but can you imagine the crowd in the bell centre if we're about to win the cup? Everyone would be on their feet with 10 min to go.

Irvin's a great prophet.

I was too young to really savour this Cup win,and most people talk about this 1993 Habs playoff run as legendary.Hearing the old HNIC theme and the atmosphere in the Forum is something magical.Bob Cole was excellent and he's still decent though, unfortunately he's only the shadow of his former self.

Nice goal by DiPietro to make it 4-1 Montreal!

Man, if we make it to the finals, I hope the entire team sits down one day to watch this game...

THE CANADIENS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!

It's amazing how ****ing quiet it is there compared to what it would be if we won it in the near future

I would be ridiculously shocked if by the end of the season, Carbo doesn't at one point sit his entire team down and have a 2 hour video session. Especially cause he was captain of such a magical run..and these teams actually have striking similarities.

This game has motivated me, and I was under 10 when this game was live, so I didn't really remember it. It was nice to see this game in its entirety, wow, unreal. I can't wait for game 3.

Unreal. Imagine. Believe.

It's possible.

GO HABS GO

Savard was always one of my favorite players. Carbo showed a lot of class handing him the cup first.

CBC 1993 playoff montage.

CBC only featured the playoff run of the Cup winners at that time? Not a complete recap of the whole playoffs like they do now?

Speaking of Savard,

I remember that when Guy handed him the Cup, he was not dressed in his hockey uniform because he was hurt.

Just curious, but how did Savard hurt himself?

Just wondering.

It wasn't that quiet in there, believe me. I was there for game 1 of this series and it was VERY loud. Only my last game at the Bell Centre has matched it (I only go to about 1 game a year though) and that was game 2 of the Canadiens Bruins playoffs.

The games on TV don't pay it justice... remember, microphones in the building can be turned down.
