I think we'll have a strong lineup should we get the players we need...

G:
dimitri pätzold (worcester sharks)
olaf kolzig(?)

D:
dennis seidenberg (carolina hurricanes)
christoph schubert (ottawa senators)
Alexander Sulzer(?)
Sascha Goc(?)

F:
michael wolf (iserlohn roosters)
christoph ullmann (adler mannheim)
john tripp (hamburg freezers)
yannic seidenberg (erc ingolstadt)
manuel klinge (kassel huskies)
Jochen Hecht (?)
Marco Sturm (?)
Eduard Lewandowski(?)

Hopefully the sharks get the boot and we can pick up Goc, Greiss and Ehrhoff as well that would be a huge boost.

Hecht declined because of injury and not a chance we'll see Lewandowski on this team. He wasn't a big part of a German team in years no matter who was available and who wasn't and that speaks for itself IMO. If Krupp thought he should have a chance he would have invited him with Hock.
On a positive note, it seems like Ustorf will play again. And because of the injury of Barta he won't take a younger players spot

yeah, i wonder why sulzer wasn't mentioned so far. the admirals aren't in the POs or are they?

in goal i expect paetzold/mueller/kotschnew. and paetzold should get most starts. his experience with the NA style could be important.

Sulzer is injured. He missed a few days or weeks, came back too early and is out for the season now. Milwaukee is still in the playoffs though.

Sascha Goc is injured as well and Kölzig definately won't play.

The three goalies should be Pätzold, Müller and Kotschnew. Can't really see anyone else replacing one of them. Ehelechner is ill and not better than those three, and Greiss is not available.

According to kicker.de, Felski, Busch, Gogulla and Renz are set.

They list quite a few guys with good chances, but they don't state whether that's just their opinion, so I'll leave them out.
For the record, they are supposed to be Rankel, Ustorf, Hackert and Fical on offense, and Holland, Schmidt, Bakos and Ancicka on defense.

the admirals are in the playoffs
they are the 4th seed, in the west division, taking on the 1st seed and one of teh best teams in the league the chicago wolves
however they are playing them tough its 2-2 right now, and it is best of 7.
earliest it could be over is saturday, then sulzer would be available

bakos?
ancicka?
hackert?

i'd rather see reimer instead of hackert. and on D...i don't know. braun maybe? throw him in. he was so impressive, better than ancicka for sure. ancicka was horrible the past months.

I agree with Hacket. Sure, he has some talent, but he too often plays without heart and lazy, especially with the German team. Reimer on the other hand gives it all for the DEB.
I'm partly ok with Bakos and Ancicka, if they are used as #5/6 d-men. Bakos is a big body, but should definetly not see too much ice time, let alone any time on the PP like the past tournaments. Ancicka showed some good plays in the past for the DEB team, moreso then for Mannheim, but IMO he should mainly be there as a pp-qb for the second pp.
...
That said, I would prefer to see some of our younger d-men and give them a chance now, when we have two, maybe three NHL'ers who should carry the load on the D. Add Holland and Schmidt and there isn't too much room for some developing players

I'm with you with Braun, but we won't see him, if Krupp would have thought about him he would have invited him for the last exhibition games, like he did with Draxinger and Hördler.

Now we just need the Dallas Stars eliminate the SJ Sharks with a 4-0 sweep.

Do you see a problem? It's the sharks and Thornton
Just kidding, but adding Ehrhoff would be a great boost. Then Goc and maybe Greiss and we'd have the best team in years (well, on paper).

Apparently Ustorf is set as well.

Last game before the tournament starts. Only four of those ten forwards are playing. None of the three defensemen.

Here is the lineup. Those are not the real lines (apart from the first one) it's just a list of those who are on today's roster:

Seidenberg-Ullmann-Tripp
Waginger-Schütz-Wolf
Fical-Melischko-Buzas
Reimer-Hager-Polaczek

Köttsdorfer-Holland
Osterloh-Draxinger
Bakos-Ancicka
Schmidt-Hördler
Reiss

Pätzold in goal

hmm...no rankel. since there's no further exhib.game, it sounds like he's set. and it would be a good choice.

Pretty poor game yesterday against Denmark in my opinion but half of the roster was kicked after the game for the North Americans and the missing players from Cologne and Berlin so it´s not that much important how they played yesterday . Nobody really stood out and Denmark was absolut poor aside from Regin and Degn who were by far the best danish forwards (St.Louis prospect Lars Eller looked not very confident and played a pretty quiet game) . Bit strange that Krupp doesn´t want an exibition game in Canada with the tournament roster. I think they could´ve used another one or two games.

Ehrhoff is playing injured though so I think that there is a pretty big chance that he might shut it down should the Sharks really get swept.
