Look, say what you want about Carey Price. Yes he was crap last game. But today? No, he wasn't crap, he got beat by 1 shot he couldn't see, 1 shot that was deflected (and he couldn't see) and a shot he had no chance on.
Now I'm not saying he's been amazing, because he hasn't been, but don't give me the Biron is WAYYY better crap. Biron is good, and he's playing a bit better, but he's been lucky as well.
But luck is the least of our problems. In fact, here's an idea: why don't the Habs try scoring first for a change? Maybe give Price a 2-0 lead to play with? No? Maybe let Biron play with his team down a goal? No?

Remember the days with Roy in net, we had average teams but could win on any given night because of our goaltender. Price has been good in other games, it just seems the luck is not with him and the Flyers have his number.
I would throw in Halak for the 3rd and if he plays well, go with him in the next game. Maybe some bounces will not hit the post and they will finally go in.
Price is the biggest reason for this loss. I'm not saying he's the only reason, but even the fanboys have to admit that he really dug this team a into a hole after the first 2 periods.
Hey 23 shots and 14 shots the past 2 games and few scoring chances. Flame the team but they made so few mistakes and the few ones are in the net and they arent even clear cut scoring chances. Hes playing bad, the offense could do more, period.

You can't always blame the goalies for chronical defensive brain farts.
Goal number 1, both D go in front of the net, perfect shot.
Goal number 2, both D again in front of the net, pucks finds a way, Price reacts to the first deviation, 2nd deviation, bounce, goal.
Goal number 3, Komisarek...not pretty, at all, top corner shot.
The flyers are playing the low-shot count game on purpose, they know that if they peper Price with rubber they will beat him less. It's pretty hard for any goaltender to be perfect on 13-14 shots, when 7-8 of those are good scoring chances. The flyers are getting all the good bounces right now, the players in front of Price need to work harder and smarter.They have to take the lead.

Oh ok so when he see's his team not scoring on a 5 on 3 he decides 2 let 2 soft goals from the same spot just to send a message to his team. Yeah..
You can't say the same thing for goalies. Goalies don't care. You could be down 3-0 and they still play to give you a chance to win.

The score shouldn't have an impact on the forwards ability to finish plays. Especially plays that they worked so hard to create. The shorthanded goal should have been stopped by Price but the other two were not gimmies. He didn't help but the team let him down.
Bottom line, this team won games all year by scoring goals. We don't score, we don't win.

But missing opportunities happen all the time, it's more normal and acceptable than a goalie letting 2 goals like that. If I was a player I'd be so pissed, but the habs actually played even better when it was 3-0
I think that when we'll score the first goal we will finally see the dominating Price we always wanted to see. He seems to hate when we are down first.
Anyone who says tonight isn't Price' fault really didn't watch the game correctly. Yes, he was screened on all 3 goals but the guy has to make a freakin save. Come back with him next game... but win or lose, if he struggles, Halak for the one after.
