If Kovalev, Higgins, Markov and Komisarek, the guys you consider your core don't show up, you won't win.

Simple as that.

I wanted Price pulled after 3 in game 2. He's not himself at ALL. Our boys have stepped it up after the Boston series, and suddenly our goal tending is out the window.

Halak in the next game...maybe that'll wake Price up...if being seated tonight hasn't already.

Hate these Flyers, it's like the 2002 Hurricanes when they eliminated us.. annoying and... opportunist.. (lucky).

Frustrating game! Koivu needs to sharpen his reflexes.. man he should have shot this puck he got from Kostitsyn!

That missed 5 on 3 in the first could have changed things drastically, but it came back and bit us in the ass.

The Flyers did not win this game, they survived it. We need the first goal on wednesday though. I have a feeling that once we put the Flyers behind the 8 ball and they have to open up the floodgates will open. Unfortunately Hatcher will probably be suspended for next game so he won't be able to be exploited.

I was screaming at the screen watching him skating like that. His performance was despicable.

sorry the effort isn't there. yes they get there chances but the drive isn't there. these guys continually are giving up on plays and looking for the one shot deal and in playoffs those are rarely the goals scored.

playoffs goals are mainly Koivu types. Going to the net screening, tips, taking punishment and finishing with rebounds.

Kovalev and Higgins are looking for the perfect pass and shot and that isn't playoff hockey.

If I'm Carbonneau the first step is picking the lines and actually sticking with them for a whole period. No more of this flip-flop stuff. Even before deciding on the goalie.

Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Kovalev
Higgins-Koivu-Kostitsyn
Begin-Smolinski-Kostopoulos
Latendresse-Lapierre-Streit

Just go with it for an entire game. Stop switching on the fly for no reason.

Agreed. It reminds me also of the Toronto-Ottawa 2004 series, when the Sens dominated and controlled the play and outplayed the Leafs in most of the series, but timely goal scoring,opportunistic/clutch play for the Leafs and the excellent tenue of Belfour/Lalime's being very mediocre were the highlights of it.We're the 2004 Sens, and the Flyers are the 2004 Leafs.

I'm soory but Carbonneau loves to play with the lines it won't stop. I'm not against Kovalev double shifting sometimes.

Neither am I. Kovalev once and a while playing with the 4th line is perfect. But I had no idea who he was playing with today. The lines were just all over the place.

Compare that to Mike Richard's efforts on the PK...

What am I going to say here that hasn't been said by everyone already?

Alright, I'll just say I ****ing love this team... Continue to work hard and win the next game (don't need a dominance, just a win).

Carbo's comments after the game from CKAC.

We've played well. We have to continue doing the same thing. We have to score in the first. Price's confidence.

Raises his voice answering a question about how Carey should assess his game, whether he should be hard on himself. Points the finger to the five players on the ice for the 5-on-3.

Simplify to score? Not really we had great chances, we just didn't bury them.

I know he (Price) can come back really strong. Yes, he is shaken right now.

Koivu is the only one exempt for anything these days. He is the only one doing anything positive consistently.
