lol it's funny how this thread comes after we are down in a series for the 1st time. If price finished this game no one would even think of halak, but he made a great save tonight he's going to win us the cup people!

People need to wake up. It's not for nothing it's a best of 7. It's not bad if we lose games, we can't win everything. Price was bad but he'll bounce back, if not **** it, he'll do it next year.

As much as I believe Halak deserves a chance, the Habs traded away Huet to run the table with Price...he'll be in net on Wednesday.

I already voted and given support to Halak.

and then

I see that Price was 9/12 tonight and I'm like, whoaa - that's the sh***. We need Halak in for a game and I wouldn't mind seeing him for the rest of the series before going back to Price. I kinda feels like the Hurricanes stanley cup year where they had to take the young Ward out for a bit.

Keep Price, take him out early if he looks shaky again.

Has nothing to do with taking Price out and rolling with Halak down the stretch... I just want to see Carey get a rest, play Hally on Wednesday and barring a 30+sv shutout you start Carey in Montreal on Saturday. Its called ****ing strategy.

This bandwagon ******** has nothing to do with anything. The bottom line is Price hasn't look right in this series. I like him, I want him to succeed. If he's in net for game 4, I will cheer him on.

However, I would start Halak next game. I'd rather see what he can do down 2-1 instead of down 3-1. Also maybe having the backup in there will cause the Canadiens to start playing like a hungry, desperate hockey team.

Of course it doesn't matter who's in goal if the Canadiens can't bury all the chances they're getting. Price isn't the only guy to hang this on.

People here will be all loving Carey Price and praising him again when he wins, it is a proven thing here that Montreal fans are bandwagoners and place blame always on one and not a team...your the fool to think different.

I love Price but i am not adverse to starting Halak.

Montreal is dominating and something has to give. Maybe a shakeup would help.

I am not sure what to think. We need solid goaltending and we obviously know what price is capable of, but he is clearly struggling now, and it has cost us 2 games in a row now.

we should try Halak only once at least... what do we have to lose?!?

Ducks won 2 rounds with Bryz last year, i am not saying we should try Halak as a permanent solution but we hould at least give him a try, he looks really alert and i love the kid

I agree, its not like goalies have never been pulled before. The Ducks did it last year and they won the cup, thats why you have 2 goalies. Halak is not there for show. Then Price could always come back. Why does everyone think we are bandwagon fans just noting something evident. It does not mean we hate Price or don't like him.

Or he could be great still, but he looks tired.

Because people have been saying Price has played sub-par (which he has), you start cursing and throwing accusations around of them being bandwagon fans, which just doesn't make any sense on any level.

To think Price's play isn't a concern is just burying your head in the sand. Of course scoring goals is an issue too (mainly the PP actually), but trying to solve one problem and not the other is pointless. At the very least the Habs are generating chances on offense, whereas Price looks overwhelmed and shaky in nets and some would argue a real momentum killer at times.

Does that mean he won't bounce back? No, but we should be able to discuss it openly and frankly. And of course people will be kissing his ass if he comes out and plays well. That's what he's supposed to do. That doesn't change the fact that he hasn't played well this round.

Price for sure, if he loses (which he won't) start Halak in game 5. Give Price a lead for once and you'll see the same Price we saw in game 7 versus Boston.

I agree with this, Price has done too much for us not to give him another shot.

Right now going back with Price is the riskier pick.
Halak starts, or Carbo faces intense criticism going back to Montreal on the cusp of elimination.

12 percent of respondents chose Danis or "other", whatever they think that means.
Means 12 percent of the fans dipped into the liquor cabinet in the third.

Dude,

You are either a very brave man or you are looking for trouble.

Even asking the question on this board can get you in trouble -- at least with some "knowledgable" posters!

By now you must be aware that we have some real hockey geniuses on this board!

Good luck dude!
