Actually Eb Games is having a promotion for GTA IV where you trade in 3 games with a store credit value of at least $8 and you get the game for free.
Tiger Woods was $8, NBA 08 was $8 and MLB 2K7 was $11 so had there not been a deal I would've only got $27 store credit for a $70 game (59.99 + tax).
That's a pretty smokin deal I must say!
What's everyone's first impressions? I only sat down with it for about 20 minutes last night, but so far it looks pretty good.. The car's handle much more realisticly IMO, they have "weight" to them. That's as far as i've gone, drove back to Roman's...

Pretty good deal in my opinion since those games were basically collecting dust.

Unfortunately it's not a PS3 only issue, xbox owners are suffering the same problem. It seems some faulty GTA4 discs are causing the problem - not the PS3/360 hardware.

The "fanboys" statement doesn't even make sense. Most high-end technology products have had launch issues, including the xbox 360 (red-ring of death); why would you expect Sony's launch machines to be any different?

Bought it at 8AM, played it from 9-12:30, then had to eat and get ready for work (evening shift). Brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant.
I mean, the single player for 2 hours was awesome, then I decided to try multiplayer deathmatch..... which was an absolute blast. So was the freeplay, where you can take huge amounts of damage before dying and everyone us just blasting away at everyone else.
And that's just 2 of the 15 multiplayer options...... I can't wait to finish and play some more after midnight
I'm getting my copy tomorrow along with Joey: Season 2.
I do have the 60 GB PS3 so I a little worried.

I'm sure you can find a copy at Walmart.. My friend said they had about 100 copies in our small town today. Incredible.
I'm sure if you live near a Walmart, Best Buy, Futureshop, or EB Games you'll find a copy at one of them.
As for Joey.. I love all the Friends seasons. And while Joey isn't quite as good, it's still a funny show.

I went to my Wal-Mart this afternoon and they still had about 50 copies.. Like you in a fairly small town. So I assume most places will still have it tomorow.
