NHL/ESPN Announcement Coming

Apparently, the NHL will announce a new deal with ESPN to go along with the NBC deal later today. The NHL on NBC is newfangled, for sure, except for those remaining Peter Puck enthusiasts. However, I wouldn't ever want to lose ESPN.

A poster on the Rangers board reported that ESPN has already agreed to a deal in which they will air about half the games they do now and only on ESPN2.

Indeed. It sounds like Bettmen got schooled. Hope you all like watching Cheerleading, Poker Tournaments, and Billiards during the NHL season.

Yeah, but what if there's no agreement between the NHL and the CBA? Then all that money's wasted.
