Hi guys, what is Klesla's situation in Columbus right now? I found a magazine from 2001 in my house the other day comparing him to Lidstrom, and I remember when he was with the Battalion he was supposed to be a top end elite franchise defenseman but that obviously hasn't happened. His stats also look pretty poor. At his stage does he still have that potential, or has he settled into lowered expectations in Columbus?

Klesla didn't develop into the offensive defenseman that many thought he would be when he was drafted. (hence the Lidstrom comparison)

However he has quietly become a very good defensive defenseman who occasionally scores, gets interviewed, and then says "Thanks JimDay" He's not a superstar, but he'd be in the top 4 on any team in the league. Good guy, relatively decent contract.
