That's a fantastic cartoon.

I love that the artist was clever enough to have Carbo break the glass with a goalie stick.

strategy? hmmm, i like it. it takes balls to almost certainly sacrifice a game in order to give your tired, mentally shaken goalie an extended 4 day break so he can recoup and gather his composure, ultimately showing enough confidence in him to let him know that he will give him back the reins for the remainder of the stretch.

he does all this even though he will take a beating from the press and fans alike. i think he is taking one on the chin to move the focus of the media and their microscope to himself and off of his young goalie. this is done to help relieve some of the preassure.

coach of the year? possibly! optimism on my part? Definately!

I mean he is not playing Michael Ryder. That pisses off a few posters who have a man crush on Ryder. Carbonneau is a racist too. Big-time.

Carbs made me laugh. On the press conference today he also announced he was going back to the original regualr season lines of Kovy-Plek-A. Kost, S. Kost-Koivu-Higgins, Smolinski-Begin-Tom Kostopoulos. He then went on to say he heard on the radio this morning that's the lines he should go back to, so he decided he should go back to them lol.

I hjeard him say that he won't change too much (strategies).
He said that we were doing the "right things", we just have to continue with that, and then added...

...but we must change a bit of the urgency, have to play with more urgency.

IMO, urgency = 60 minutes. (not just in 3rd period when there's 3 or 5 or 7 minutes left, and not just in the opening period).

Get a hypnotist and hypnotise our players into thinking there are three 3rd periods in a game. That should be our strategy.

That and he makes sure every player spits on Ryder on their way to the ice.

I can't wait to hear him name the dregs he'll put on the 4th line.

Not good enough. He gave up more goals than the 2 the Habs scored.
