Just wondering if Marek Zidlicky is potentially available and what sort of return would the Preds be looking for? Seeing how Nashville has a wealth of fine younger defensemen to sign this summer, are they looking to move the older vet?
Ditto Kevin Klein, since he was the odd-man out so often this year, is is feature still in Nashville?
Thanks.

Zidlicky has a no trade clause. His contract has fallen within the reasonable range so i don't think so. All depending on Suter, if Suter is gone then I think Klein stays, but if Suter is re-signed then I think the team will move Klein.
As for the Preds, they are looking for a top 6 forward for the short term, or they are looking to increase the depth of the forward position of their prospect system.

Players waive their no trade clauses all the time.
The reason for a ntc isn't necessarily to keep a team from trading the player, they just want to have some say in where they are traded.
I think he had the skillset to be in the NHL each of the past 3 seasons, the problem is our insane depth at defense (and Poile's unwillingness or inability to move a defenseman to allow him a spot on the roster).
Thanks guys. One more thing, would you classify him more as a defensive or offensive defenseman?
He is more in the Dan Hamhuis mold of defenseman.....good all around. With that said, he isn't as smart as Hamhuis, but he is much faster (and Dan isn't slow).
