I love this team more than anything in the world!

Hell of a season man, hell of a season it just wasn't meant to be this year I guess, we're a team on the ups though for sure!

GO HABS GO! I won't forget what you've done for me this year, so much joy and this series was the only blackspot since October! I love everyone on this team and I just wish I could jump ahead to October...

I need some time to reflect and just chill now, this is a tough pill to swallow, a real tough one but I'll be okay in a few days I know it, tough man, damn... I guess I'll be watching the finals and cheering for Crosbaby. Never thought I would!

Great resurgence of the franchise. I'm looking forward to 08/09, and I can't wait to see Price as our goalie of the future. If not for some bad luck we would have won this series, but it wasn't meant to be. C'est la vie.

See y'all at the draft!

I'm not here to troll, please don't kill me.

Despite the complaints of boos during the national anthem, I thought your fans were extremely classy in this series, and obviously appreciate your team as much as if not more than any other fan base. DC threw things on the ice after their loss, we probably would have done the same, booing, but you guys supported your team even when it was over, and I'll still love the Habs as my 2nd EC team. Congratulations on the great season, and boy, are those Kostys going to be good.

The Habs may have lost, but they have won me over

Well,

even though the game and the series has officially gone the way of the team I now hate the most (Colorado's got some rebuilding to do, so now they merely annoy me),

I will say this.

Ever since I joined the Canadiens bandwagon prior to the playoffs, the team and their fanbase have grown on me big time.

Their impressive season, combined with Buffalo's severe cost-cutting, has led me to a crossroads.

After 17 years, I am officially SEVERING my Sabre ties at midnight and am joining les Habs as a fan!

Even though I will root for the Rangers/Penguins to beat Philly, I'm NOT jumping off the Hab bandwagon!

I'll always have fond Sabre memories, but Darcy Regier's an IDIOT!! He has pushed me too far with his dismantling.

Im OK with this series loss

Despite being a lifelong Habs fan, I’m OK with this series 2 loss to the Flyers.

This should give Gainey an accurate idea of how much work he needs to do with this team-- and he has a ton of work ahead of himself.

First move: Find an experienced goalie who can play 50 to 60 games and give Price the opportunity to win the starting job instead of handing it to him. Price may be great some day but is not ready to handle the starting job at this time!

Oh, wait a minute, Gainey had an experienced goalie, but he traded him. That’s right, he also had Francois Beauchimen and Riberio and traded them away for nothing (Habs really didn‘t need those guys anyway)!!

Second move: Get rid of Patrice Brisebois and Francois Boullion. If these 2 guys are on the Habs roster next season they will not make the playoffs -- mark my words!

Then: Get some bigger and grittier forwards!

Thank you guys! You made me live outstanding emotions in this season. Definitely looking forward to the next season. A couple of players will not be here anymore. A couple of new guys will come up also.

And don't blame Price. He's young, and had a tough time, but will step up and he will grow stronger after this experience.

Guys, it was a pleasure. Thanks for making me feel welcome on your board, and thanks for a very intense and fun series. I know that we'll be seeing you next season, and based on the young talent on both of our teams I hope that it will be in the playoffs.

Best wishes!

Congrats on being happy with mediocrity. I, on the other hand, will be pissed off for months to come.

Got to agree. Bar was set high for this team after the regular season, but we are young, and that is allways an excuse, right? Just kidding. The future is bright!

It was an amazing season for Montreal. As a Habs fan living in Southern Ontario it was great seeing the Bell Centre fans cheer for the team with time still left in the game. Good show!

Sweet.

I gotta say our fanbase sucked really bad this playoffs though.

Lots of folks stopped believing after Game 6 in Boston. Add to that the riots (prob not all hockey fans, obv) and booing the anthems and we looked really bad.

2008-09 Montreal Canadiens motto: "Vengeance."

And in their case, it will actually mean something.

Go Pens.

We would have lost to the Pens.

Not happy about losiig to the Flyers, but I'm psyched about Price's development.

Thoroughly depressed right now. But I know it will only last a few days. Well, I never missed a game this season. It was really a fantastic year. Completely exceeded my expectations. We have a great group of young kids and lots to look forward to next season.

Time to retire the Habs jersey and hat for this year. Summer is here! Hope you all have a great one!

Big thanks to the Habs!
