Congrats to Calgary from a Sharks fan

Outplayed San Jose and clearly deserved to win the series.

Damn it....hardest handshake I've had to watch. Damn it.

Congrats Calgary.....best of luck in the finals.

Sutter deserves it...classy way to end the series.

What a great game. There are two faces I'll always remember from this year's playoffs - Sundin's after the last Toronto goal of the year, and Marleau's after the puck slid across the line. That guy worked hard, he sure deserved every victory the Sharks got. How could that not break a fan's heart.

Just goes to show what hard work, character and a hot goalie can do for you. I can't get enough of this team. They show so much confidence, unity and determination. Let's hope the Sather of this league watch and learn something from it.

Congratulations to the Flames from a Habs/Sharks fan. The Flames are the perfect example of a blue collar team. They deserve everything they have gotten, hard work can do wonders for you. Good luck in the finals and bring that Cup back to Canada

Well said.

Can't be happy about the outcome, but it was definitely an interesting series.

Very classy by Sutter... Good luck to him in the Finals...

I can't understand why people think Sutter's move was classy.
If Calgary had lost the series and he had gone to the trouble to congatulate his former players that would be classy. If they lose in the final and he does the same thing then credit him with class. Anyone can be accomodating when they are the winner.

I've been reading a few threads in regard to the end of the series. You are a bitter, bitter person.

Calgary doesn't get credit for ANYTHING.

Hilarious. Hey, aren't you the guy that called Shean Donovan a minor leaguer?

I give them credit for outworking the Sharks. Also outplaying the Sharks in part because the Sharks didn't show up. Some of the credit for the lack of offensive opportunities goes to the Flames defensive play. How much is impossible to say.
What that has to do with Sutter talking to the Sharks I don't know.

Do you think Donovan played for 10 teams because he was in great demand.
He has one good post season. There are dozens of players who had one good post season and were never heard from again. Can you say Kris Kontos?
Lets see him have back to back good seasons.

So let me get this straight, the Flames won because the Sharks didn't show up and couldn't match their work ethic and Shean Donovan is still a minor leaguer.

OK.

Did you catch Ratto's article in the SF Chronicle this morning? He's bang on. Give it a read, you might learn something.

Okay Cyclops Im not going to say anything to you because the Sharks/Flames series has had enough ugliness in it with the fighting thats taken place between homers from each. But I will say this to any admins or mods reading this: almost all of the nastiness and classless posts made throughout the series were a direct result of the childish and inaccurate comments made by Cyclops before this series even began. He's the one who started up the hatred between our teams fan bases, and I think its pretty disgusting that a moderator is causing trouble like that.

On another note classy move by making this thread WildGM.

I couldn't agree more with you.

Didn't say I'd see the day when I was one more inflammatory post away from putting a mod on ignore.

My version of the post-series handshake.

I like 2 theories:

1)When you win, act like you've been there.

2)When you lose, show the class and respect you expect from others when you win.

Pretty simple.

Nah, you can't actually, I've tried to ignore several mods in the past. The forum settings don't allow you to ignore a mod.
