It doesn't matter, because none will sign here, even when Bob is telling the world that he is looking to sign a big fish.

I left out players like Sakic, or Chelios who will likely stay where they are, if they don't retire.

I also left out Rory Fitzpatrick, since there's no way we can fit him in under the cap...

oh, thought he was, my bad, thanks.

I voted for Demitra, until I realized he probably wouldn't want to play on the wing.

I like Jason Smith as a defenceman, Andrew Brunette as a forward to play with Saks and replace Ryder.

That was before our team showed we are contenders and have the greatest fans in the WORLD.

I voted Shanahan, great size and nose for the net and also a great leader. In all honesty I want Sundin but I doubt it'll happen.

I think Rolston or Huselius would be the best bang-for-your-buck picks. They wouldn't cost $5mil+ like the elite UFAs (Hossa...) will cost, and could be very helpful players.

Brunette and Rolston would address some team needs, Jagr would be exciting but unlikely

Laraque and Avery would make our smaller players play "bigger" and Gainey could tell Avery how NOT to behave in MTL and he would listen to the HOF'er fer sure.

I said in another thread I'd love him.

He'd be an incredible addition.

I'd also love Avery;
Higgins - Chipchura - Avery !!!!
But he won't come here.

Yes he would, but he'd cost a LOT.

I can see 3.5-$4.5 easy for 4-5 years going for him.

I know.. but he'd be worth it .. and then we could let Streit walk.

Markov - Komisarek
Hamrlik - Rozsival
Gorges

Would probably contend with any team for the best Top-5 in the NHL.

Then Vally or Obbie could fill up the #6 spot.

I dunno, maybe a level-headed Sean Avery. Jason Smith would be nice insulation for the d-corps, I guess.

I'm not so sure about that. I think Rolston could very well get 5m on the open market if not slightly more. He's one of the most sought after UFA this year.

That said he's still the UFA i want the most but i wouldn't break the bank for him either.

Other Chris Kelly. Great depth player, shouldn't be too costly. To take Smolinski's place.

i said Hossa, i know hes going to cost alot and we were second in most goals during the regular season but in playoffs we had a hard time to score, and this is where hossa come to help. if we cant get hossa i would like to have Rolston 30+ goal scorer always helps.
