When I think about Chris Chelios, the first thing that comes to my mind is when he crosschecked Patrick Kane like 7 consecutive times and still didn't understand why he got a penalty...

He won't leave Detroit... but if he wanted to... I'd take him.

He'd be a 6 or 7 guy at this point though.

0,1% chance of Chelios coming to Montreal (he'll stay in and retire a Wing).

I'd love to have Chelios as #6 or #7, but...ain't gonna happen.

He's going to have a good NHL pension when he retires .

I'd take him over Brisebois anyday!!! At least Chelly plays tough and throws the body around. Not to mention he is a smart defencemen in his own zone, thats something we could have more of...IMO. I'm all done watching Brisebois feather a horrible pass up the middle of the ice only to get picked off and result in a scoring chance against.

That's Breezer's trademark....thats what he's best known for!

He was top 4 like 15 years ago. Right now he is a #6-7 guy.

Chelios threw the body around 15 years ago, he has no physical game to speak of now. His physical game now is a few cross checks in front of the net.

Thats still more than Brisebois does!! Breezer has to be one of the softest guys in the league and he makes bad decisions in his own end. I don't even care if Chelios throws one body check all year, just the fact that he is smart in his own end and doesn't serve the puck up on a golden platter to the other team like Brisebois does will be enough for me.

Lidstrom had about 30 hits all season, that certainly doesn't stop him from being the best defenceman in the league. In fact the entire Red Wings defence barely lay bone crushing hits yet they are so damn successful.

I'd take Chelios anytime, he'd help fellow American Komisarek out too.
