You didn't read this board very often if you didn't see the droves of tards calling for Kovalev to be made the captain.

I was just about the say that. Even as late as game 1 against Boston, some fans thought that Kovalev should keep the C once Koivu came back.

Hats off to Koivu for coming back and playing his heart out. I have never been more proud of our little captain than I am right now.

Whom did Michel Blanchard have to kiss to get his job, and where did he have to kiss?

I guess it has something to do with the media...

That chauvinistic fanbase ought to stop echoing such vile propaganda on this forum. It's funny, but some of those brainless posters disappear for long stretches of time, and some never return. I wonder if they keep reregistering under different board names because they get tired of being mocked by the large majority of posters who resent them.

Lying low. I suspect there may be fewer of them than you think but they use several different identities to make it look as though their sentiments are widely shared.

They didn't really want Kovalev. They named him as a credible surrogate because they realized that the Québécois on the Habs are fringe players who would never be named captain.

That guy is our captain, despite his lackluster season he showed he still can rack in points and play hard.

I hope to see him dominate next year, and bounce back like Kovy did.
nothing against the guy , but you are nuts waiting for Koivu to lead us anywhere.

Dominate ? get real here

Very true. He's a hell of a player, and always gives his heart and soul to this team. Now Bob has to reward him and get him an elite player to play with.

on top of that, he was playing with a injury. not many player can put the many points in playoffs with an injury on the side.
he will have a better season next year.
go saku go.

saku koivu in the dictionnary:

borgne, cancereux, les 2 genoux et chevilles petes, petit, leger et il joue dans les coins et devant le filet

one-eyed, cancerous, both knees and ankles busted, small, light and still plays in the corner hard and in front of the net..

what else do you want from the guy??
