CKAC Sports blames Koivu for playoff exit.

Once again, CKAC is blaming Koivu for the 2nd round exit. They basically say that Koivu is selfish for being mad that the organization gave the "C" to Kovy while he was injured. They also say that Koivu is the reason why Kovy didn't produce in the playoff, since Kovy didn't get the spotlight that he deserves. Michel Bergeron thinks that Koivu should quit the team and that he is a loser. I cannot stand them anymore. I respected Ron Fournier, but I cannot believe that he agrees with Bergeron. Koivu was by far our best player in the playoff (he got a point in all the games he played, 9 points in 7 games). If Koivu and Kovy can't be in the same team, Kovy is the one that have to leave (although I don't believe in this theory).

I'm really glad I don't live in Quebec. I wouldn't want to be subjected to this tripe at every media outlet.

CKAC lost all it's credibility when they changed to CKAC Sports.

Team just wasn't that good a team is why we lost. No true #1 center, too young not enough veteran leaders, never got the playoff goaltending that is needed. Many reasons why we never had the chemistry this year

I actually live in the fear that one day he's going to get fed up with this **** and leave before he has the chance to hoist the Cup in Canadiens colours.

Holy ****. so many of these people deserve to be fired. It's time for the organization to start striking back at these people.

YOU'L NEVER catch any respectable reporter or journalist bashing Koivu, just some morons trying to get some ratings and get their name mentioned on HF boards again.

We dominated most of the games and we just couldn't finnish,I don't think the #1 centerman was a problem

9 points in 7 games and he was the only player willing to stand in front of Biron, but yes CKAC is right, it's Koivu's fault

Unfortunately we often have to read it on any Habs-related site and thousands of fans go ahead and take it as gospel.

They did bash Koivu...but Kovalev as well.
They said both players were selfish.
To me, they bashed both equally!

I made a thread that every time Koivu scores a goal or makes an important play the the habs seem to lose, but I was made fun of and it was locked

Seriously though, in spite of this luck, I think Koivu was our best player out there. Claiming that something like this would be his fault is just crazy stupid

If you want to blame someone, blame carbo ( for not changing things up earlier - if we played all the games like game 5 we would have won) or gainey (for not signing a 2nd-tier player for support)

Between this and Gagnon people wonder why some people call the french media stupid.

I don't think they are all stupid.... but clearly Bergeron and Gagnon have no clue what they are talking about.

I think people tend to forget they aren't Habs fans. Might help explain things.

Edit : Bergeron might have evolved into one but you can't tell me he liked the Habs back in his coaching days.
