170 yds with your PW? Are you a pro? Man, that's a pretty long shot with a PW. What do you hit with your driver? 330 yds? If you take advantage of the lessons, with that kind of power, you're going to be a hell of a player..

280-310 with my driver.

Power's never been my issue. My issue is finesse and consistency.

like I said yesterday, this summer I want to be able to hit the ball with my driver so I did all the non-Par 3's with my driver.

On of the last holes I aimed WAYYY right and of course the ball sliced but because of the way i aimed, I ended up on the fairway...I birdied one of them and par on the other.

My irons which are usually my STRONG point of my game, sucked today too. The strongest part of my game today is usually my weak spot. (Pitching wedge within 100 yards of the green). I usually put to much power and over shoot, but today I nailed ever chip or shot within 100 yrds of the green

I also sunk a 35 foot put to get bogey

Hum, next time you make hockey or golf predictions, please tell me beforehand... I'll pick the opposite

LOL, the common thing that most golfers who hook the ball will do (I know that since I did the same at the beginning on the range and golf course). Try doing that when you're playing on a dogleg hole.

Oh by the way, for a right-handed player:
Hook (draw if it's intentional) --> right to left
Slice (fade if it's intentional) --> left to right

I used to make that mistake all the time

The joke would've worked better if you used a barter arrangement instead of money.

On a serious note, was there a lot of people at Ste-Rose? What about the quality of the golf course?

nope, was empty, we had 2 old people ahead of us (we had to wait for them a couple of times)

and we had 2 people behind us, they were like 3 holes behind us.

the course was very good, fairways were nice, the greens were alright. Not fully ready yet but was much better then some courses Ive played in the middle of the summer.

I booked my first round for Saturday morning. I'm going to hit the range tomorrow and probably Friday as well, so I can at least try to get some consistency going.

For those who are interested, I joined lastminutegolfer.ca and it's actually pretty good.

It also has a handy handicap tracker. I'm not sure if there's anything on there for the Montreal region, though. A bunch of courses for GTA and Ontario though. Mostly upscale, but the red flag discounts make them pretty affordable.

Been to the Dorval Golf Club driving range today... Well, the only thing I can say is that I didn't lose my swing but the usual power wasn't there yet..

I have the same problem... I paid close attention to my swing and the reason it happend to me was bcz i was breaking my wrists. I dunno if you do the same. If you do break them, then dont do it on a swing and you will see the ball goes straight (but I find you lose power).
