Awards:
Rather have Hank rest. But you can't blame the guy for wanting to represent his country.

whatever, the tournament is over in a week. so at least Hank will face one of his teammates (Tyutin). Would be cool to see Jagr play against him as well, but if he retired that's it.

From Sam:

Henrik Lundqvist (Sweden), Brandon Dubinsky (USA), and Fedor Tyutin (Russia) will all represent their respective countries in the World Championships in Halifax and Quebec. Dubinsky was shipping out today. Lundqvist, who had some soreness in his knees from a hit in Game 4, expects to play for Sweden on Thursday.

Interesting that Dubinsky has been invited. Insurance? I know I'd rather have him in there than Adam Burish.

The United States lost the services of forward Jeff Halpern for the remainder of the IIHF World Championship.

Halpern, the American team's captain, suffered a badly torn ACL in the third period of Tuesday's 5-4 loss to Canada and will need reconstructive surgery.

Team USA will insert New York Rangers centre Brandon Dubinsky into the lineup in place of Halpern.

Nothing further about Prucha?

Czech national trainer Alois Hadamczik never showed any interest in bringing in Prucha. Rozsival is going to join Czech team in near future.

Henrik agreed to play for his country but is now looking for someone to take care of their dog.

His gf revently had hip surgery so she can't do it.

He asked Gomez but he declined.

Any volunteers?

Because WCSN already bought the rights to broadcast it in the US from the IIHF. The NHL Network has no say in the matter.

Pony up the $4.95 and you can watch every game, online, live or on demand: http://www.wcsn.com/

This has to be one of the best (non-lockout) years for the WCs. Canada, Russia and the US are all loaded with talent.

they haven't earned it...just because you are obsessed with them doesn't mean they would automatically get a invite......

Prucha was on the Czech entry roster, which suggests there was at least some interest somewhere along the way.

$5 for every game of the tournament?! I just signed up. Watching a great game between Finland and Slovakia. What a deal. I never bothered getting into the IIHF World Championships before because I could never find a place to watch it. Great to watch Kane and Kessel on the same team. Finally I can actively root for Kane.

Looking forward to watching Henrik tomorrow.

Just make sure you cancel your subscription by the end of the month, or you'll get charged an extra $4.95.

Thanks, yeah I noticed that its automatic renewal. Diggin' the coverage so far. I like that I can watch all the games played already and not just live streams. Five bucks well spent. Go USA and Sweden! Can't wait to see Dubi.
