LOL - Camalleri For Dawes, Prucha and Tyutin and a 1st?!

As seen on the LAK forum... Is Camalleri (sp?) really available ? Was he one of the guys who hated Avery ?

Folks over there seem ok with a straight up trade for Toots, too...

Toots and a First....

I think I'd do that in a second...

Would you do the deal, and what line would he play on ?

Wouldn't be too excited over dropping all that and adding yet another small forward.

Heck, I'd ask for Brown with part of that package.

For just Tyutin, I'd do it.

Other than that, no...

Cammalerri was amazing the first month-two months of the season, then got injured and didn't do much later. I wouldn't give up as much as speculated in the title.

Cammalleri is a one-dimensional forward who wouldn't fit in Renney's style because that one dimension is offense.

Rangers should look elsewhere.

People can adapt. Jaromir Jagr didn't fit that style and it worked for him. Nigel Dawes has begun to adapt in the system to continue to thrive.

One-dimensional players can be great in one aspect and decent in the other with time.

The Rangers need this type of player. Granted he's a UFA soon, has had a reportedly bad attitude, and is small, but still, we need some offensive guns.

I dunno. It seems like you have another version of him with Prucha (although Cammalleri might be better offensively).

The Rangers cannot afford to trade 3 roster players for one. You will not find a better player than Dawes and Tyutin out there on the market for their price...

He wasn't all that amazing this year, injured or not. He's one-dimensional and rumored to be a PIA in the room. I'm willing to kick the tires but not at some of the costs spelled out here.

All 3 of whom would probably never be moved for anything we could throw at them, lol.

Not interested in Camalleri.

How was he disappointing? In the playoffs yes but I thought he did well this season. He was great at the start and seemed to level a bit, but still more than adequate.

Yeah... I could live with a guy who scored over 30 goals and led the NHL in hits.

that was my work, thank you very much.

just wanted to get an idea of what kinda value the guy has. i don't watch too many kings games (they aren't on much around here), but i figured a speedy guy with a nose for the net would look good next to gomez.

Cammalleri is anything but fast. He's small so you'd think he's fast, but he's not.

Cammy is like a better version of Nigel Dawes.

No thanks.

Might need Prucha and Dawes if Shanny, Jags, Straka and Avery walk.

Yeah, you're not getting Cammy for just Tyutin.

Sure, he had a bad, injury-filled season, but he's still one hell of a scorer, and his value isn't that damn low.

Tyutin, Dawes, 2nd, maybe... and I'm not even sure if that's enough.

Are you kidding? It's worked for Jagr?

Jagr is still a one-dimensional player that didn't show up until the end of the season.

With each year that Renney's gotten tighter defensively, Jagr's production has gone down. Say what you want about his age and his injuries, but there's no way in hell you can say that it's "worked" for Jagr.

Really? The last time I checked, when someone was a called a "one-dimensional player" it meant that they only had ONE DIMENSION to their game.

Nah, the Rangers need a top line power winger, a puck moving defenseman, and a stay-at-home bruiser. Brian Rolston or Andrew Brunette would be a decent replacement for Shanahan as well.

Isn't he a UFA soon anyway?

man, I"m sorry, but this tyutin stuff is rediculous. He didn't finish the season well and he had a bad playoffs, but 90% of his career here has been very good, and he's a 25 year old defensemen, he's going to be inconsistent. If you move him, you're going to regret it down the line. THe fickleness of this fanbase never ceases to amaze me. Everyone wants to develop young players, no one wants to live through their growing pains.
