Danil Markov

I know he played in europe but any chance of him coming back to the NHL?? If he comes back, id luv for the Rangers to try and sign him, hed be a defensive dman we can use. would 3 year contract at 2.5 be enough per year???

The reason he bolted for Europe was because he didn't get the money he wanted in an NHL contract. I doubt he would sign for less than 3.5 million.

would u sign him instead of resigning rozsival, malik or mara who would want more $. with Markov's physical style he does get hurt from time to time but its worth it I think. hed be cheaper than Orpik or Campbell or the other dman but not that much cheaper.

Definitely would be cheaper than Campbell, but signing both Markov and Orpik would be counterproductive. Unless Staal can quickly emerge as a solid PP QB, only one of Markov or Orpik would be fine for the time being.

Pock will never wear a Rangers uniform again. You don't complain to the media about Tom Renney. Just ask Marek Malik.

I would love to see Danny Markov on the NYR, but the $ may not be right.

Hilarious.

Seriously, I can't believe he thinks Pock is an option for the power play... Our power play is absymal as it is, what does adding a player that just can't hack it in the NHL do for it?

Is there any rational thought process there?

This may be your best post ever. This is intelligent and insightful. I don't think the Penguins will let Orpik go given his role in their current success (Malone much more likely to walk) and Markov would certainly fill the hitting void on the back end. If he played well in Europe this year, sign me on for this move.
