Lol ok I knew I was missing one person. Thanks.

Just adding the touches now, and Sjostrom deserves no raise, so still 800K.

its really sad that avery-dubi-jagr is our most productive line. that would be a decent second line on most teams

Straka-Drury-Cally worked just as well, and Gomez needs someone like Dawes with him. Plays more of Gomez's type of game, more-so than Straka.

some of those contracts are pretty low IMO, notably Tyutin and Korpikoski who are already signed for more than that

well, if were speaking in terms of ideals, Ideally id love to see this..

Avery (3) - Dubi (.633) - Jagr (5 (3M deferred))
Dawes (.85) - Gomez (7.357) - Hossa (7)
Malone (4) - Drury (7.05) - Callahan (.6)
Sjostrom (.775) - Betts (.615) - Korpikoski (1.01 (i thought that was his cap hit?))
Orr (.537) Byers (.608)

Forwards:39.036 (36.036 not counting deferred money)

Rozsival (4) - Staal (.827)
Pitkanen (2.4) - Girardi (1.55)
Baranka (.522) - Backman (2.3)
Pock (.667)

Defense: 12.266

Lundqvist (6.875)
Vally (700k)

Goaltending:7.575

Total 55.875

unfortunately that doesnt include the bonuses that need to be applied to this year. not sure how to make it work with that....but im sure something can be figured out.

the problem is, all this assumes players are signing for less than they probably will. Jagr is getting 7 imho. Hossa is getting 8+ imho, Malone will get 4.5+, Rozsival will get 5+

so its all assuming everything falls into place.

but of course, we dont live in that world.

No. That's Tyutin's cap hit.

Korpedo I didn't know his contract, couldn't find it anywhere, if you want to provide the numbers for it instead of just criticizing...

the OP's lines are terrible

i hope you know...our ***** are going to be on the ice more then half the time with those small/speedy/weak forwards

where are the power forwards? you expecting a 2007 repeat?

my lines

Avery - Dubinsky - Jagr
Ponikorovsky? - Gomez - Ryder
Dawes - Drury - Callahan
Korpikoski - Betts - Sjostrom

I totally butchered Poni's name i think but...Trade Prucha + a prospect for a reasonable big PWF for the second line

Wow. So my lines are complete **** (ones that have worked well) and your lines (basically the same god damn thing) aren't?

Ponik isn't available. Forget about it.

I didn't mean to sound overly critical, I like the look of your team, I just don't think it's overly realistic. If it is workable, sign me up.

http://www.nhlscap.com/capnumbers/newyorkrangers.htm

Tyutin: 2,843,750 (2.25 is his 08/09 salary)
Korpikoski: 984,200 (1,017,533 w/ bonuses)

Malone sounds very good...but i think if we sign him, we should def sign avery too and get that grit!

No hossa

im not good at making lines...all i know is we need big bruising PWF's the ones you put up were essentially the same types of players in lines 2-4

I know Ponik isnt available thats why i said trade for someone like him and i made a mistake...i didnt want ryder i wanted Malone
