So who here think were gonna get more draft picks before the draft? I mean we have only 5 selections atm.

Gainey will use jedi-mind tricks to make a team give picks for M. Dandenault.

Kilger, Belak and Gill got picks.

I think this actually a real possibility. Watch him trade the rights of Streit and Ryder for a 1st rounder or something.

Will Luke Schenn fall to the Leafs pick at 7 or 8?? What do they have again??

Hahahah, oh god I hope you are right. But tbh, if he reachs a 6th round pick I'll be happy.

No way he's still available at 55th, he's a late riser and his upsides are just too good.

He looks like Pacioretty v.2.0 to me. I like him. I just hope I can find some videos of him though...

I just found this article about Jokinen. Pretty interesting.

Edit: I did. #14 Justin Jokinen

Pretty accurate wrist shot, nice skating.

If Gainey somehow managed to get a 1st rounder from a team by dealing Ryder and something else not as valuable I would be satisfied.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the rights of Michael Ryder are worthed nothing. A.B.S.O.L.U.T.E.L.Y Nothing.

Correct. It's too bad we didn't trade him on deadline day. It seems BG and Carbs were on different pages on Ryder.

Totally agree. I see Jokinen as more of a Travis Zajac. Don't think he has that mean attitude that MaxPac but he does and will have some time to build his frame and maybe become one.

But this guy will be picked in the 1st round. In 2009, maybe not, this year, absolutely.

He's part of my list as our 1st pick, and you know what, I'm not even sure he'll be there. His 54th spot from CSS makes no sense, there's at least 20 guys that would be behind him in my armchair scout opinion....

Very impressive links on Jokinen, would love him in the 2nd round after a Deschamps like pick for the first.

I've heard a lot of good things about Deschamps. Can someone write a more detailed scouting report on him?

We'd have to trade up to get an early middle second round pick IMO to grab him in the 2nd round..

Complete player, very mature in terms of gaming abilties, NHL readyness is high, do everything well, but lack top-end talent to become a clear-cut top 15. I have him between 25 and 35th.

We should draft Pistilli

this guy is awesome with Gatineau, is still undrafted and would fit in our system (I think)

thoughts?

100% agree! I believe that Timmins has his eye on this Mr. Hockey finalist.

There was a thread on the prospect board about Byron and some people suggested he was riding Giroux's coat tail... Byron doesn't really and has some very nice skills. Pistilli, on the other hand, does look better because he plays with Giroux. Mind you, he does have nice size and can finish but I'm worried about his skating and overall abilities. He was overlooked in the last draft and I think he might be a good candidate for a try out for the prospect camp. However, I'm not sure I'd spend a pick on him.

So where do the Habs draft this June? Do we move up to 24th?
