The bruins board hate was pretty bad too.

If you're not a Leafs fan in Canada, chances are you hate them with a passion.....
Gee, i wonder why that happened...

Montreal isn't hated throughout all of Canada like we are, though. Not even on the same planet.

Also, the Sens board was way more anti-MTL during this playoff run than we were, from what I saw. And I think saying "it's like we won the cup" is a pretty dick thing to say. If Toronto ever wins the Stanley Cup again, they'll bring down every multi-team hockey board in the business.

I don't care why we're hated, I'm just saying we are. That's the way things are, and the way they always will be.

Every fanbase has their bad apples.

More the Sens board then But I still found it funny the happiness on your board when we lost especially since you haven't seen playoff hockey in 4 years and bringing us down.

Don't be a hypocrite. Habs fans would be all over us if the situations were reversed, and you know it.

When did I say 40 Habs cup? I said Montreal had 40 cups...in total. The Sens known today have nothing to do with the Sens franchise that won Cups in the early part of the century. If you tell me how many cups Ottawa won then I'll say more than 0...but the Canadiens won 24 cups being one franchise. The Senators won 0 with the franchise they have now.

I would be happy but not too damn happy if you would make the playoffs and us missing them for 3 years in a row.

So what? You're just one fan... out of the biggest fanbase on HF.

I just don't like when either fanbase tries to think they are superior, because they're not.

I hate it when Habs fans do it, and I hate it equally as much when we do it. You have no idea how many times I've called people out on the Toronto board for idiotic comments, trust me.

Well its 24 by the Habs really, the other team names dont count since those teams folded. And so did the early Senators, the folded just like the Maroons, Victorias, Wanderers and AAA folded in Montreal.

Having the same name as the old team does not confer you their cup victory, its not the same as you Sens today. Montreal has continuity and an unbroken thread since they were named the Canadiens, Ottawa has not.

And thats the same reason we can say the Leafs really s*** for 41 years now since they too have enjoyed continuity in their results for the Cup, year after year after year after.....

"When the Leafs make the playoffs"

is that the Canuck version of "When pigs fly"?

Of course we hate you guys but it's when it gets personal that it's too much. Like the ''you idiot Habs fans are all the same'' or the always so joyful ''you guys are all classless''. Insult the team all you want, but don't personally attack the fan base.

Part of the problem.. is that most of the major media outlets in this country.... TSN, CBC, CTV, Score, etc.... are based in Toronto.... As a result a great percentage of their employees both on and off air are from Toronto and the surrounding area.... A large percentage of people in this area are Leaf Fans, or have grown up Leaf Fans.... As a result media coverage becomes toronto-centric when it comes to hockey and fans in other markets resent it and hate them....

Thats why Toronto is the most hated team.

That and their arrogance for genuinely thinking they have a team thats going to win it all year after year, even if their lineup is old and can barely follow the game.

And then the Fans believe it, Don Cherry believes it, the rest of Canada is going "WTF??", etc etc..

Both fanbases do that, and at a basically equal rate.

I understand all that, but as I said, there's nothing we can do about it. It's not something that can be rectified...it is what it is.

Who's they? Toronto fans in general?

If you want to play the stereotype game, I can play too: Montreal fans are stupid rioters that hate Koivu because he doesn't speak French.

There, see? I can do it too. Doesn't make it fair either way, does it?

Oh it wasn't only directed to Leafs fans, it was more in general, it's why HF is so painful sometimes.
