I'm a supporter of Montreal's La Banquise, but Ashton's is good, too.

La banquise,
Poeple from Quebec city talk so much about how good Ashton is, that when I first tried it, I was very disapointed...

Another great place to eat poutine is "La patate du coin" in St-Janvier, Mirabel

They are both "meh"..

Good variety, but not the freshest ingredients.

honestly, Ashton is the most overrated poutine place in Québec.

i've been there twice and was really disapointed.

as for Banquise, i think it's good but might not be the best over all.

You fools need to get better priorities:

Augustiner Beer + Pretzel in Munich > Any Poutine in Montréal

You're hard to please ,aren't you?

Maybe you have superior poutine criterias and a more refined taste.

As for this thread,La Banquise FTW.By default though.

Mundo Fritz's Goat cheese poutine was affordable, big, great sauce and cheesy... but they closed in 2007, now i have to find my segundo spot to call it the best poutine around... actualy Ashton's disgusting and Banquise is like the most regular poutine you can get...

I live 5 hours from there yet I agree. At first it looks average. You take a bite and it is like freaking crystal meth, you are an addict. I dont even like poutine in the first place. If I could get the recipe and selling it in Montreal I would get rich.

Banquise has more of a variety but Ashton is better I find. Banquise also has a better environment.
