Lot's of Soccer Talk lately, but last time I checked Montreal was a North American City.
Does anybody here miss the Expos & what team do you go for these days.
Personally, in Toronto, (for the short term), but being from the West Island I can never get into American League Baseball with the DH. I'm a National leaguer for Life. I Kinda watch the San Diego Padres in the standings, since they were the Expo's Sister Team...
I miss going to the big O for 10$ to watch a game even if i was never really a huge expos fan. I always followed them but my team has always been the Red Sox.

Sorry, Watched the Jay's/Phillies game last night & it reminded me how great it was to see Philly at the Big Owe. It was a nice National League Rivalry..

i remember the year we were in the wild card race right till the end.
Their was a 4 game series against the Phillies.
I was there at the Saturday night and sunday afternoon games. the stadium had like 35,000 for both and it was awesome. I told my mom, im not going to school on the monday....i went to see the 4th game of the series too.

I think that might have been around 1993, that Philly's team with John Kruk. It was a good fight! I remember being at the Stade myself, It was a great atmosphere..

no, it was twords the end, like the last year or before last
Missing the Expos, but not missing baseball at all. Selig can kiss my ass.
Yes! Bud Selig is on my enemy list! He is not welcome in the North. I was in Dunedin, Florida & somebody inked that on a urinal in the that Stadium's bathroom.
I used to be a huge baseball fan (going to about 20 games/year, participating in baseball pools, knowing almost every single player from all MLB teams, knowing MLB's future stars...)
All that change when the Expos left for Washington. Since then, I haven't really followed baseball like I used to and also only watch pennant races and playoffs.
Even though I'm only 16, I started following the Expos while I was about 9 years old and I was a huge fan. Would make the ride to Montreal about 10 times a year to see a game there. The other games, I would watch on TV (the rare ones who where on) or I'd be glued to my radio everynight listening to the games. I also enjoyed training camp, following our future players.
I really miss Vladimir Guerrero and Brad Wilkerson too...
Man, I can just hope that in 2025 or something, a new team comes in town, I'd be a happy man there...
Since they left, I don't follow baseball a lot, I'll watch a game sometimes if I turn on a TV and it's on... My teams are the Jays and Mets', but right now, I cheer for the D-Rays, I hope they can make it to the playoffs at last.
Oh and I remember that 4-game series against the Phillies. I was at my uncle's camping and while they were partying near the campfire, I was sitting away, listening to CKAC.

Wilkerson is with the Jays now, signed there last week
Was an Expo fan as a small kid, but then I stopped paying attention until I was 6 and became a Jays fan since they seemed to be doing alright. Well, I am not too high on baseball these days but that's what comes from cheering for a moribund franchise. I like baseball, but it's harder to get into it with such a loser team to root for. Hockey felt the same when the Habs were crap from 98-01 but now my passion is as high as ever and always will be huge, not just thanks to the Habs but also thanks to the fact I find hockey the most interesting sport of all.
I'm going for him, he's always welcome in the North!
being a bosox fan im not to high on the Jays but I watch them all the time cuz its the only games available to me.
I really liked Wilkerson when he was with the Expos.
I heard he's one of the nicest guys in baseball (my friend was the expos bat boy for the last couple of season).
