I know he is becoming a fan fav in boston, but with your forward depth would
a deal like this be possible:

edler + pick for lucic?

I don't think the value is off, he's fan & front office favorite. he's not going.

Gives the Canucks a young offensive center and the Bruins get a good defensive prospect
Boston would decline imo. Krejci looks like a real keeper.

The value is there but it would take a huge overpayment to get Looch out of Boston he's already one of the most popular players on the team and many fans would be pissed if he were traded including this one so basically Lucic isn't going anywhere.

It's okay though, every team on HF overrates their prospects.
Including you. Bruins would not deal Krejci for Bourdon or Edler.

Edler for Lucic?

Lucic could top out as a marginal second-liner who hits like a truck, fights, and intimidates. Edler could top out as a 1st-pairing defenseman who puts up 35-45 pts a year. Lucic is playing like a 3rd-liner so far, while Edler has been playing like a top-4 defenseman.

Now, how does Lucic's value eclipse Edler's again?

PS: This is also coming from a big Lucic fan, from his time with the Giants.

I don't disagree that I may overrate Canucks prospects, that being said, right now Edler is head and shoulders ahead of Krejci and I also think Bourdon will turn out better then him as well. I guess we'll have to let time determine who looks bad on this one.

Edler is not "head and shoulders" ahead of Krejci right now.

He's going to be a real fine defenseman, and since the Bruins need D I'd take Edler. But no way I'd throw in anything more valuable than a mid-late round pick with Krejci to get him.

Edler is "head and shoulers" ahead of Sobotka, or Nokelainen or..etc..

If that were true, the Bruins would be stupid. However, it isn't true, as far as we know. What we do know is that it's your opinion. That makes your opinion. . .

I wouldn't take that deal - can't have Krejci and Krajicek on the same team.
