Habfan poll: Red Wings or Penguins?

So who's going to be the first to lift the Stanley Cup this year?

Crosby or Lidstrom?

(Needless to say, the dream for Habfans is to have the Montreal Canadians win it on home ice... everything else is but a passing curiosity)

Lidstrom. Detroit is too stacked in all areas for the Pens to handle. Wings in 6.

Fail.

Detroit's gonna eat Pittsburgh's inexperienced defense alive.

Detroit in 5 or 6. Too much playoff experience on Detroit's side.

Detroit in 6

The Pens have a better offense but overall the Wings are a more balanced and experienced team. The only question mark for me is Osgood and if he can survive an onslaught from the Crosby , Malkin , Hossa ect but other than that it's the Wings all the way.

Also , if there is someone who deserve the distinction of being the first ever European captain to win the Stanley Cup it's Nicklas Lidstrom.

I hate the Pens, I hope the Red Wings win it. They do have the best defencemen in the league and probably of all time on there side.

That team that had Bobby Orr on defense would probably disagree with you...

Dallas showed shutting down Dats and Z can topple Detroit. I don't buy into Detroit being stacked and balanced...far from it. Pens have a lot of fire power but Stall and company has to shut down that phenominal line. Detroit has 1 great line and very good defensive corps. I still say Pittsburgh.

What's all this talk about inexperienced D for the Pens?
Gonchar, Gill, Sydor....half their D corp. have been around the league for some time.

either way, I'm still going with the Wings as the cup winners.

I picked Detroit, but I think a lot of people are underestimating the Pens.

and Detroit didnt give up many shots either

Yesterday Dallas got 29, 16 of them in the 3rd because they played desperate hockey. in the first 5 games, the highest total they had was 22.
