Habs should persue Adam Perry as free agent? (Corey Perry's brother)

i came accross this while reading hockey news article. forgive me if this is not correct, or if someone already owns his rights, but this could be a nice young guy to sign instead of brunstrom. the kid has some nice stats. thoughts?

Quote:
8. Adam Perry, LW – Belleville Bulls (OHL): The younger brother of Anaheim’s Corey Perry (who was in the stands Monday night), Adam already has a Memorial Cup under his belt from when he was with London and his experience is showing with four assists in two games. Eligible for free agency.

He looks much smaller out there and lacks the finish his brother has. He was all alone in front of the net with the goalie down and out and he still couldn't bury it. We already have enough 3rd and 4th liners anyways.

There is always a need for those kind of players though, He runs his mouth a lot and everyone hates him. He was playing centre for Belleville and I don't think he could translate into one in the NHL, just too much for him to handle. If he was converted to wing maybe. But he also looked slow. You can't ignore those numbers, but those were on great teams too.

well, we've got 2 Latendresse's, 2 Kostitsyn's, and we still have to complete the Koivu set, so we should hold off on Perry's until we can get Mikko.

Edit: we have/had one of the Ryder's as well. Thanks Hasamus

the former Islander? He has little to no vision out of one eye, if I'm thinking of the right guy.

Yeah he's the right guy. He played in Minessota too.

He is a fast perimeter player that has absolutely no finish nor hockey vision (not just because he has one blind eye) on the ice. I pass.

Yeah hehe.. I sort of didn't want to sound like an ass, so no pun intended (even if it's quite obvious hehe)

How do we know the reverse isn't going to happen? Perry leaves the Habs for the Ducks? Or Saku goes to the Wild

Oh we've made sure Saku's staying put.

As for Perrey luring his brother, it sure sounds like something he'd do. He's a dick.

I'm sure Gainey will sign every one of the free agents proposed on this board up to a limit of 10. Everyone in the world wants to play in Cincinnati.
