Remi...A poor orphan alone in the world who's friend or pet du jour ALWAYS meet their untimely and often graphic death. I don't know why that was shown to kids. This thing made you SAD, sometimes it terrorized you. Highlight: Remi finds two nice dogs and he really enjoys them. WHAM! The dogs get devoured by a wolf. If I'm 7 years old, I'm supposed to be entertained by this? No! I didn't sleep for a week! And oh yeah, he's looking for his mom the whole series, but he never finds her. He ends the series in jail instead. Most kids didn't watch this because it was too damn depressing and hard on the feelings.
Hutchi...Almost as depressing as Remi, except it didn't feature people, but this bee little guy there that was drawn by a color blind man, and his friends. Another guy looking for his mom. Most of his friends met gruesome deaths as well. The classic episode where Hutchi's airborne buddies all get killed by a bug zapper is etched in my head forever. Killer theme music though.
I LOVED Tom Sawyer. But this show was so un-PC. Joe The Alcoholic Child Beating Indian. Jim The Black Slave. Damn, you almost wonder how it made air. But Mark Twain was so smart. He made Jim The Slave the only fully good, fully honest man. And oh yeah, some white widow adopted Huckleberry Finn and attempted to "civilize" him.
Seeing this gets to me. Dans Les Alpes Avec Annette. Watch this and try to be content with the world we live in. This is has the same effect on me than that Japanese potty training video. This is so cheery, so colorful, so happy...and it's grounded to the right stuff too, like friendship and fun and familly....and then you look outside, it's gray and sad and you wipe a tear off your eye. I know I did.

I remember when I was really, really young, maybe even before kindergarten, my mom used to turn on the T.V and heat me up a pizza pocket in the microwave and I'd sit and watch this.
Looking back on it, that's one strange show I enjoyed.
Check out the 80's cartoon intros as well, the original, and I mean the ORIGINAL Ghostbusters is wierd, but I somehow remember watching it commasplice.
Also, Thundercats are on the move, Thundercats are loose!
Other than these, I never really watched too many cartoons when I was younger, apparantly from years 1 to 5 all I watched was MuchMusic.
Wow, I had to post, this cartoon was my main motivation to go to school and all. I couldn't stand not watching it, I would watch all the replays even if I had already watch them. There was always these few episodes that I would nerver get to see, but that were so important to the overall story, I always made sure I would watch the cartoon IN CASE that one I missed would play again.
Come to think of if, I never actually got to see the ending of the whole cartoon.

Animated series "The Adventures of Aladár Mézga" debuted in 1972. The main character, Aladár, visits every night a different inhabited planet using an inflatable space ship. The script was partly written by József Nepp who also wrote scripts for Gustav. The are two more animated series that deal with Mézga family.
Trivia: The name "Mézga" means bad luck in Hungarian

A series that I had looked for a long time, not that I loved it but I always remember it as very mystic
I have a series I remember very vaguely about some girl that got lost in Amsterdam or something like that and now had to go through all possible adventures to find her family again. I always remember the theme-song as "clementine"-something (and there is a series called that but it wasn't the one), anyone got a clue? I know it is very vague but I don't remember much.
