Former Habs Fringe Players you Miss
Every team has them, and they usually don't stick around for a long time.
So which guys from the Habs do you miss?
Personally, I miss Gino Odjick the most. He was far from a bright player, but he was tough as nails. I still love that video of him tickling Stock's nose to get him to fight.
I also miss Oleg Petrov. I was young when he was around, but I remember he used to be able to fly.

As for the topic, I'd say Doug Gilmour.

I'd love to have a guy like Doug Gilmour again. Gilmour was what Smolinski was supposed to be.

Richard Zednik. We all loved him for a few years. We all miss his patented one-hand-on-the-stick push towards the net move haha.
Aaron Downey and his sacks of potatoes come to mind as well. Good to see him on the roster of what's likely to be the cup-winning team.

Doug was a former superstar and he has a second half of a season with us where he had almost a point per game. I wouldn't say he was a fringe player.

I would "never" call Gilmour a fringe player!!!
For recent years, I always thought Kilger was useful.

Odjick, sorta like Brian Savage, still lives in or hangs around Montreal.
I recall some kinda story a coupla years back about him going bankrupt or something, whatever it was, he seems to have an ...uh..interesting life.

True enough.
Paint the dressing room, wash the coach's car, pick up the pucks after practice (although, with his hands, Turner probably found that pretty difficult), hand out the towels, all are important things on a team...
I kid, I kid.
