The only one I think really has a chance is Higgins. But that's only if he's put into a defensive role. Right now everyone is waiting for his 40 goal season (lol), and thus he's just one big goat.
Me neither.. Plekanec is alright defensively, but he's not a stud or anything like Datsyuk or Pandolfo or Madden. Higgins later in his career might have a shot.

I don't think you really remember how Datyuk was a few years ago.

True that..

Yet, I doubt Plekanec will be good enough Defensively or Offensively to win a selke trophey in his career. I hope he proves me wrong.

I don't know if Plekanec could ever be a Selke nominee but I could see him leading the league in shorthanded points at some point in his career

I miss Radek Bonk. It was the first time in many year that Montreal didn't have a solid 3rd line center. Our PK clearly suffered from that and something has to be done about it. Chipchura will be a good checking center soon enough, but I'd like Gainey to get a veteran for next year. Someone good at faceoffs, that we can count on in key situations.

I don't know what kind of offers Holik will get. Probably too much, but he's the kind of guy Montreal needs.

You can bring him but you can't build around him. That also mean that you can't spend a lot of cheese on him. As a UFA, he'll more money than he deserves, somewhere like in Toronto.... and obviously with a Non-Trade Clause .

You're probably right. Holik is problably a "too much known" name. I'll take the time to find a list of this year UFA and try to find a Mike Grier kind of guy. When San Jose signed him, he had already shown what he could do on the PK with the Sabres, but he didn't cost that much because he wasn't a Selke nominee. Now, every team would take him on their 3rd line.
