Wow. Seen a lot of motorcycle deaths lately. Great on a closed course, but I wouldn't ever think of riding one on public roads again.

RIP Luc.

Of course I don't know the details, and for what I know it might have been someone else's fault, however I find motorcycles like that stupid. You're putting yourself at such a risk by doing so, and that's why so many sports contracts have things like this forbidden. However, this all doesn't change the fact that it's a sad story.

From a hockey standpoint, this just has to be devastating. He was a great prospect, and had a future in the NHL. I can only imagine what it would be like to log onto Hfboards only to see "Sanguinetti dead." Gotta feel bad for the poor Canucks. Gotta feel bad for Luc's family. More wasted talent

Thats horrible news.

Condolences to his family.

Such a sad thing when someone so young dies, especially when they didn't have to.

And I'm sure they will. Unfortunately that won't make it any easier to deal with.

I think it's really less the motorcycles and more the people who ride them. They're certainly less safe than a car equipped with safety features, but really fast motorcycles seem to attract people who want to go really fast on them, and then bad things happen.

If they all rode carefully on the roads and then opened it up on a closed track or something, there'd probably be a lot fewer deaths.

But we don't really have any details about Bourdon's accident other than someone in another thread who said it happened near where he lives and that it was a head on with a truck.

Completely off topic, but why does my avatar disappear every few months or something? What the hell, hfboards

Absolutely. To think the guy who was drafted 2 picks before Marc Staal is gone just like that. His whole career and life ahead of him. Horrible indeed.

Reports are now saying he just bought the bike 2 days ago, after getting into riding and using his dads this spring.

Crazy. Police are also saying it's too early to know who was at fault

Just awful news. Reminds you of that story of the linesman a few years back who was also killed on a bike...
