I know that Nikita Filatov, the young russian phenom, is supposed to go early in the draft, but he might get passed over thanks to the bad rep of young russians skipping out on their teams (Alexei Kaigorodov ring a bell?). Any chance he might be up for grabs by Ottawa in the 18th slot? From what I've heard he's one of the most skilled guys up for grabs, but risky. If he goes this late, would you take a chance on him?
He will not fall to us. There is a blog by him where he states he is coming to North America no matter what and he currently has no contract with the CKSA next year. So hes coming to North America 100%. I wouldn't be suprised to see him go around the 2nd or 3rd pick depending on what the team needs. Who ever gets this guy will be a very happy team, he is going to be a franchise player.
