Hopefully they sign Avery. He provides a lot of things. I don't even agree with the word 'intangibles', what I see from Avery is quite real. He doesn't like the other team. That is a quality. Avery is not a goon, he has matured quite a bit. I know lots of people have charts showing how innefective he is in round 2 of the last couple of series. Well, big frigging deal. We had to put up with waste of space players like Hollweg and Malik all year, and for anyone to point the blame to Avery is nonsense. If you want to substract personality from NYR, go ahead and delete Avery from the lineup.

I;ve always liked being entertained by my team, I like seeing big hits and upheaval. I think getting back to basics is what is needed, and it's not like Orpik's physicality is a liability - he doesn't forget about positional play. Rather him than Campbell any day.
orpik vishnevski and commodore are the top 3 dman i want. if not them then salvador

Haha

Its funny top watch, Pittburgh complained after game 1 and 2 about the obstruction...and they were doing it all night.

That's why they won, Detroit will change their strats coming into game 4 to address it, and watch them put the penguins on ice.

I hate detroit, but I hate Syd the whiney kid even more.

Surprised...

there isn't more talk in here about the game - it's pretty darn good and this may end up being a real good series.

Did want to comment that I still love Gary Roberts - always wanted him to be a Ranger and it's a shame he had that neck injury way back when. The 42 year old just laid out McCarty with a crushing hit - Pierre McGuire's comment? That was borderline interference - I thought he may've commented on the hit, or the physical game picking up, but he talks about an interference call - how annoying.

haven't watched a single game since the Rangers were elimated, maybe I'll start if this series gets tied up, It really just has no juice to me.

I also find that I get more into the POs when the Rangers AREN"T in it, idk why, I guess I got used to it over the years. When the Rangers are in, I'm only focused on them and really stressed out, when they get bounced I'm done, its really strange.

My most favorite PO's were following the 03 Ducks, 04 Flames, and 06 Oilers, all lost, all my kind of teams, all heart, all guts, underdogs. also both Kings teams that took Colorado to 7 back to back yrs in the early 2000s. I really got used to bandwagoning, none of that this season or last.

Ehhh, I don't know about that. When I think of Hossa, all I can think of are all the brilliant feeds he's whiffed. I can think of 2 or 3 just from tonight.

Its over.....

Wings will be the champs on Monday..and the Pens fans will go home crying.

Thankfully I dont need to watch Crosby lift the cup every 10 minutes in a commercial next season while watching a VS broadcast now.

You'll probably see it anyway, and on the bottom it will say: Thanks in advance for making this happen refs, couldn't have done it without you!

By the way, what the hell happened to Sykora and Malkin this series? Especially Sykora... I haven't heard his name mentioned in like the last three games I've watched

That's cute, underneath it all it seems like he just wants to make friends... aww

There's a post on the Pens board saying how the trap should be banned because it's not allowing them to get enough shots on goal.

Bunch of whiners... at least the guys in that thread.

Penguins were doing a ton of trapping as well against us and Philly after taking the lead.

I think Roberts is one of the dirtiest players around, can't tolerate him.

Zetterberg is playing a wonderful series let's hope Detroit finish it in game 5.

Here's a lame corny joke.

What does Sidney Crosby order from Mcdonald's?

A Waahmburger and French Cries.

Reminds me of how some of my compatriot Rangers fans were whining when we lost to Pitt.
