He quotes and uses as a source Eklund in his latest Blog:
Eklund reports on hockeybuzz.com that Calgary, Minnesota and Vancouver could be among the frontrunners in offering what he terms “MAJOR packages to get Olli to move north".
It was my understanding that he didn't have much to begin with.
That being said, as likely as an Olli trade seems to be to everybody down there in FL... you could probably make an argument for using a vivid dream as a source for a trade rumor at this point.
I've lost so much respect for Biggane in the last couple of months. I don't know what happened to him, it seemed like he used to be OK. Parrish and a 1st for Jokinen is in the ballpark? LOL.

I had a vivid dream we signed Frolik the night before he was signed to the contract, which was really weird but awesome.
Spector had the same teams interested, so it's not like Eklund went way out on a limb since they've been out there with lines in the water before. Biggane's had his credibility ruined for some time, I mean the guy gets bored and he just starts making things up.
As I've said before, he had Cohen practically twisting Martin's arm to hire Hartley and then Savard is all but hired? When his team is in the Finals and he wasn't allowed to talk to him? Thanks Biggane!

I'm going to buck the trend and cut Biggane some slack.
It's unlikely he would bother reporting rumours unless he had some external pressure to generate some kind of hockey article related to the Panthers on a regular basis. This could be an editorial requirement, or simply (I'd even suggest more likely) that if he doesn't produce the hockey stories regularly, his paper will drop their coverage of the Panthers altogether except the most important news during the regular season and playoffs. Maybe drop hockey altogether.
Just a hunch, mind you. I have a hard time believing he could have submitted these last two articles thinking they were legitimate.
