I'd consider every one of the three comes July 1. We need to upgrade wingers on 2nd and possibly 3rd lines.

please, Sather, none of the three. If Vasicek could stay on the ice I would say maybe, but he misses half of every season. The other two have no idea what heart means.

everybody betting on Satan only to be disappointed. at 33 he will not turn it on again. We could use a guy who can snipe if properly set up, and he might come at a interesting price......but I think its a no.

No interest in Fedotenko,

Vasicek = Grosek

btw grosek is in the swiss league desperately looking for a club to sign him.....
what a waste

Fedotenko might be of interest but he made 2.9 mil last year and I'd rather go less than that. Everything depends on what happens with Jagr and Avery first though. I like Vasicek as well but it would probably mean moving Drury to the wing and going with Gomez and Dubinsky as 1-2 centers. Vasicek made 750 K and he could get us 35 pts. or so as a third line center which isn't bad--he has good size and seems to play with some grit. Satan--I really have no interest in--he's a sniper seemingly on the decline and not much else. $4.5 mil and I can see why the Islanders don't want him anymore. The other player mentioned goaltender Dubliewicz is a good backup. Like him as well.

Vasicek played 81 games last season, and Fedotenko has plenty of heart and drive. What both players lack though is talent.

Satan is the one with talent but no drive.

However, the "Fishsticks" were not as deep as the "Ranger$" last year. You'd have to ask yourself whether you think players who are so bad that they couldn't catch on for a non-playoff team like the Isles could help a likely playoff team like the Rangers.

IMO, both NY area teams could do better.

That said, I wouldn't have minded have Fedotenko back because he was a decent physical third liner type. Vasicek had his moments two - main positive attribute was that he is good in the faceoff circle.

Satan, I disliked since he was a Sabre. Thrilled to see him shown the door.

All garbage. pass.

Would be mildly interested in Dubielewicz if Vally walks for some odd reason.

They don't have to. They've got talent. Fedotenko is going to be 29. He is SC champion, FYI.

Satan is intriguing to me to be honest... Only if Jagr is brought back though. I'd be interested in seeing those two play together because I think that Satan plays a similar style to Jags. Satan wouldn't cost much anymore and there is upside. If he doesn't work out, you can move on.

Vasicek reminds me of a less skilled a very little more physical version of nedved and that is not something to be happy about.

I doesn't work like that. One's man trash is another man treasure...

See what Dupuis, Hall and Sykora are doing for Penguins. All depends on particular coaching staff and system employed. Player is just an asset, a tool, if you will. The team and its coach use him. If done correctly success may be possible.
We've got a better team, I agree. (Always had, ). That may help.

I'm not saying I want all three, but consideration should be given.

Czechs and Slovaks can only compete. No.
Satan is the sniper with ability to play two ways ( Buffalo school). He could be useful with Drury.

Fedotenko is not especially talented. He did have that nice playoff run with Tampa, although even in that year he managed only 2 assists over 22 playoff games.

Typical season for him is is low 30s in points, 10 - 15 goals (almost all of which are scored during his rare hot streaks). He simply doesn't have the ability to be a top six forward.

That said, if you visualize him as a physical third line winger, who could take shifts in the top six when injuries occur, then you've got yourself a reasonably valuable commodity.

I don't agree with those who think he lacks heart, btw. He has plenty of drive and heart - he just isn't very skilled. I think a few teams will show an interest in him in the off season. And, yeah, I'd think he'd help the Rangers.

As for Satan - sign him please. I'd love to see our crosstown rivals deal with that headcase.

I'd like to have him back because I believe that you can never have too many physical checking wingers on the roster.

His skating is impeccable. Stickhandling is not something you want from 3rd line wing, but he is streaky there. He hits well and offers good size. He is young and 3 million is what it cost to get a solid player. Are there better choices out there? Yes, may be.
I think Nolan gets rid of those who wont compliment his way of playing the game. It's OK. Unlike Nolan, Renney is comfortable with Euro players.

You guys wouldn't be interested in Satan? The guy had 9 straight 25+ goal seasons. This last season was his worst... also coinciding with a knee injury.
His 16 goals this year would place him 4th if he was on your team. If he gets back to his average 25+ then that makes him your leading goal scorer.

Just saying his price probably dropped significantly for one bloop year. I'd pick him up for a 2 year, $6 million contract
