Sami Kapanen returning to Finland

According to Savon Sanomat a local newspaper from Kuopio Finland, Sami Kapanen will not continue in Philadelphia.

Yea that was a good hit and it made Sami one of my favorite All-Time Flyers. A forward playing defense due to injury pinches to try to keep the puck in play knowing he is going to get killed...then he gets killed. He wobbles around, goes in random directions trying to get to the bench until Primeau basically hooks him towards the bench allowing play to continue with Roenick scoring the game winner in OT.

Great memory for me.

YEAH LOL HE COULDN'T SKATE! That one hit where Modano can't move and looks like he's dead is hilarious too! Of course the Zednik one is the funniest out of them all, his blood shooting everywhere gets me every time!!!!!!!

This is probably somewhat good news for the Flyers. On the one hand, he was a fourth liner and can be replaced with someone cheaper, saving us 500 to 750K or so. On the other, he was the kind of heart and soul player that you want on your team. He is loved by Flyers fans for a reason.

Yup. And I think he might do a bit of scoring ^^ Keeping in mind that the SM-liiga is only marginally better than the AHL.
