Yeah, Nylander whated no part in taking a discount to be on the team...so I could care less about him. karma got him injured haha.

I maybe would have prefered Rafalski and Gomez signed rather than Drury and Gomez just because he would have filled a larger gap. This is not saying that I don't like Drury because I think he will be the next captain of the team, so no flaming.

On as die note, if we signed Raflaski and Gomez, the Devils fan would have been even more livid(sp?) haha.

was a combination of the dollar amount and years.

Didn't Sather have an opportunity to exercise an option and he would've been with the Rangers last season for about $2.2MM?

there was both; the team option had to be exercised much earlier in the contract though

right after rafalski signed with the wings he was on TSN and said a team offered him 7 mill in the NY area, highly doubt it was the isles so obviously the rangers, but he said he took a hometown discount since he was a wings fan as a kid and always wanted to play as a wing.
